Advantages: Reasonably priced
Disadvantages: Some items are quite tacky

Peacocks has been around in my home town of Colchester for quite a while now but I, myself hadn't really noticed the hidden away store until earlier this year. with its great selection of clothes, accesories, furnishings and even food, this shop is worth a look! Peacocks is know as a 'High Street discount shop' but I would say the stores themselves are better known as a 'cheap budget' shop for 'not so wealthy' people and families is what would call the upgrade of 'QS' and the down-grade of 'Matalan'. It's in between the middle somewhere, but definetly on its way up, infact my store in colchester is much better than the Matalan we have! The stores are scattered across the country and homed in many towns, although not a high street store, 'Peacocks' is definitely working its way up in the line of industry. This peacock has been hiding it's feathers

Advantages: Sell high fashion clothes at affordable prices
Disadvantages: None for me

I always thought that Peacocks were a down market, cheap and tacky clothes shop. How wrong was I? They stock a wide range of clothes for women, men and children. They also do underwear, accessories and gifts. The clothes they stock are high fashion, without the high end price tag, although I have noticed a few items that seem on the expensive side. They offer a variety of styles and latest fashions, so there will definately be something for everyone. I have looked at their work clothes and they are very stylish and practical and would not look out of place in the boardroom! Personally I have shopped here for nightwear and tops for nights out and I have never been disappointed. My most recent purchase was a 3-piece nightwear set consisting of full length trouser, a strappy top and a hooded long sleeve top to wear when it ...

My Peacocks has lost its fancy feathers.

Advantages: None anymore
Disadvantages: Changed there image for the worst

Peacocks. ----------------------- History. ---------------- Peacocks opened there first store for the public in 1884 in Warrington and later relocated there family and business to Cardiff in the 1940's. By this time, there was a steady growth in the number of stores they owned and its growth continued particularly in the regions of South Wales and Southern England. In the early 1990's Peacocks saw a dramatic increase in growth, which led to the company floating on the London Stock Exchange in December 1999?
