Peggy At Basin Street East (The Unreleased Show Closing Night February 8th 1961 New York City) - Peggy Lee

Advantages: A few really good song; Great singing; Amazing piano solos
Disadvantages: Some boring songs; A lot of intrumental songs

...This was the first album I'd bought by Peggy Lee, after hearing a few of her songs from the internet, and I was quite impressed. It may just be my taste, but in my opinion quite a lot of the songs are dull, and I almost always skip the instrumentals. Peggy Lee is brilliant, as usual, and George Shearing is enough to make you want to take up Piano. The album's best songs have to be - 2: I Lost My Sugar In Salt Lake City 7: Blue Prelude 8. You Came A Long Way From St Louis 9: Always True To You In My Fashion 11: Get Out Of Town (has an AMAZING piano solo) 13: Nobody's Heart Some of the songs take a while to get into, but you probably won't regret buying this album.... He shares his cell with a guy named Hunk a former country singer and they form a close bond. Some television producers arrive at the prison with the idea of hosting a TV talent show there.
