...This album's mere release is a great sign for anyone who wants to hear all those highly-anticipated, unreleased Tupac songs. Death Row and Amaru worked together on this double album without any squabbles, something that couldn't be accomplished just a short while ago. With this new-found friendliness between the labels, future Tupac releases shouldn't be delayed by the legal problems that have beset the proposed albums of the past. Greatest Hits has 21 old songs (some redone with new rappers) and four new songs. These are a small incentive to get the double album if you already have all of Tupac's old releases (as I do), but if you're just getting into Tupac or want to simply complete your Death Row collection (as I do), this is a worthy addition. ...Although already exsisting since 1986 the massive success of the Glaswegian band Texas just started in 1997, with the release of the hit single Say What You Want and the album White On Blonde. So people - for they only know the band's more recent hits - might be surprised seeing the band already releasing a Greatest Hits album. However the songs from the early years, such as their debut hit I Don't Want A lover or the songs Everyday Now and So Called Friend which can be found on the album are in no way inferior to hits like Black Eyed Boy, Halo or Summer Son. Thus by getting the Greatest Hits album you will be able to follow Texas's musical development from a country- and blues-based guitar rock to a fine and catchy pop with partly soul influences, and at the same time you get a fine selection of musical pearls which is accomplished... ...If you have never had the pleasure of hearing this group I would suggest this one to eny. This is a very special group of people! This one specks for its self! It is the most beautiful relaxing music Ive ever heard. In 1992 this topped the UK chart! They where a legend as one of the most popular accomplished Pop/Rock groups ever! Now that specks volumes to me about their music. (They where considered the swedish beetles) between 1975-1978 7 singles were released in Britain. 13 singles released and the UK top 5-hit the UK chart.
