Advantages: Great Easy Listening CD Disadvantages: Last Song personally is depressing!
After seeing this CD advertised on the TV last night and being somewhat a fan of Russell Watson I decided today that I would treat myself and so I bought it. I am very pleased with my purchase as this is a lovely easy listening CD.
The cover of the CD is white and has a picture of Russell standing to the right hand side and the title in white lettering on the arm section of his picture. The back cover of the CD has a picture again of Russell standing with a microphone to the left hand side and the track list in black to the right hand side.

Russell has become known as the ?People?s Tenor? but has also suffered a lot of critical opposition from those who believe that his untrained voice is not up to operatic standards. Russell himself however is not bothered by the criticism believing that he has transcended the bickering and helped bring about a classical crossover that didn?t exist before.
Russell?s 8th studio album ? PeopleGetReady ? is the album I am now going to review and is a mixture of soul music, rock and easy listening.

?Mr and Mrs Jones? has a very soulful feeling from the very beginning and the backing track must get the initial credit for this. This album is absolubtly fantastic! It is one of the most well written albums and doesnt have one single bad track. The MooneySuzuki are quite unknown but are one of the best sounding rock bands around.

Recorded at Sweatbox Studios, Austin, Texas. Just when you're ready to think that the only sound youngsters are interested in is made with two turntables and a microphone, one listen to PEOPLE GET READY will convince you that rock lives. The Mooney Suzuki turn in a disc full of blood, sweat, beers...and a whole lot of testosterone. These aren't balding, potbellied boys in their forties slavishly recreating a sound of a bygone area (two of the band were in their teens when this disc was recorded). The Mooney Suzuki make garage rock sound alive, radical, and even revolutionary. The performances are wild and confrontational, and the tunes are terrific. Is this the most exciting recording since the MC5 kicked out the jams? You decide.
