...No body can deny that John Denver is an exceptionally passionate man and in fact has no inhibition as far as expressing his thoughts and concern about everything encompassing human values when it comes to composing and singing songs. This particular album containing fifteen tracks are all dedicated to nature. Expressing his deep concern over the ever-increasing threat to it. According to his own confession it took him to be 40 years old to be really mature and see things in its true perspective, but to my mind he is being too generous. If you flip through the contents of the album, from Annie?s song to Raven?s child in all of them in some way or other he talks about nature, its beauty, the threats that It is being open to the ever increasing pollution. Advantages: Beauty in scenery and song.
Disadvantages: Quality of some footage is grainy in places.

...one of Annie's favourites, being written while John was on tour and they were going through a separation and then a divorce. John wrote the song and sent it to Annie by overnight letter. It is a good example of the artistic creativity that bursts forth at random times and is unstoppable. This was recorded as a duet with Plácido Domingo in 1982. John Denver listened with great interest to how the song was delivered by the great tenor, and appreciated that each descriptive word was sung in a manner likened to the subject. Applying this himself made the song even more beautiful, and according to his producer the audiences reflected this. Annie says this is the song he sang the last year he lived when going into the 'Hall Of Fame' Denver says it was good to remember love, even if he wasn't feeling it at the time. ...What can one say about this collection? John Denver is master at combining colorful lyrics, melody, and realism. His songs touch,one's feelings, taking the person to different places by song. This is a wonderful collection of works, that everyone can appreciate. One would do oneself a big diservice, by not checking this album out. Even though, John is not with us, he left a music legacy, that cannot be dismissed.This album, is one that I would recommend and buy,for myself. I give this album 5 stars out of 5 stars, a definite must buy. If you buy one album this year, this is the one you should have. I say in conclusion, this music is classic, and must not be missed....
