Album Reviews: Alternative Press (p.202) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "[V]eteran ska-punks Catch 22 have written a concept album revolving around Marxist theorist Leon Trotsky....Musically speaking, it's the band's best effort in nearly six years..."
Advantages: Amazing, intelligently written Skacore Disadvantages: None
...'Everything Goes Numb' is another album from the mind of Tomas Kalnoky (of 'Keasbey NIghts' era Catch22 and Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution fame). Streetlight Manifesto, the amalgamation of half of the original Catch22 line up and half of One Cool Guy, specialise in writing intelligent, lyrically outstanding skacore that is influenced by a number of musical styles which - going past the obvious mentions of punk and hardcore - include anything from classical to russian folk. 'Everything Goes Numb' ineveitably faces comparisons with (effectively) its predecessor 'Keasbey Nights' and in every way (originality, quality of music and lyrics etc) it is a much stronger, and darker (without infringing upon the inherent upbeatness of ska), album. Advantages: All pick me up Ska Punk Disadvantages: All the songs sound the same
...Catch22 are a happy-go-lucky ska-punk band that you just can't help but smile at. This is a great band if your into less than jake or reel big fish.
The band take up the normal 3rd wave ska instroments, a guitar, a bass, drum and a brass section. Every song is good but for all the same reasons so they all sound the same a bit. The sounds are all about loving, hating, losing and drinking.

Hope this was helpfull, please rate this (highly prefferably) and comment too. The Bobster...

Didn't know where to start with this one as whatever angle you look at it from, its starting point is….at worst…a big hefty 1968 concoction of pure class.
The physical packaging enveloping the psychedelic art work of Crumb (making it No. 9 on Rolling Stones list of 100 Greatest Album Covers); the screeching raw accompaniment...
