Do you know that AeroSmith have been together for 30 years!!! That is a real long time in anyone's books and its even older than me. They are still around and most recently got to perform the soundtrack for Armageddon. This may have something to do with the leading lady being the daughter of the lead singer, Steven Tyler. If you look at Steven Tyler, you might think he inflates his lips as they are more rubbery than a goodyear tyre! Yet he is a brilliant musician as are the rest of his band. Out of all of them, he and his guitarist, Joe Perry who is hidden most of the time under a mass of Hair, have aged a lot better than the rest of the band. They lok decidedly ancient compared to these 2 rockers. This is suprising because during the drug influenced 70's they were heavily into the scene. joe Perry even admits that he cannot even remember his own wedding he was so wasted. The band went into decline during the 80's and were resurrected by Run DMC of all people ( a rap Band) to assist in a track for their Album. This became an instant Success for Run DMC and is their biggest hit to date. What it did do was thrust Aerosmith back into the public eye. They soon released a new album which I think is their best....PUMP! It includes tracks such as Monkey on my back and Love in an evalator. The cover features a little Pick Up Truck perched on top of a big Pick up Truck! Very Funny. Trying to make out that Trucks Mate! They have had moderate success since this album and continue in the business today.

Advantages: Accessible heavy rock that still manages to contain the undiluted essence of the band Disadvantages: One or two duff tracks, and sexist (though tongue-in-cheek) lyrics.
