However, do not be put off by it not containing all of the songs from the musical. As listed above, all of the hits are there. I really like "Think of Me", it's soft and light. You can hear the admiration between the two singers. "The Phantom of the Opera" is fantastic to listen to...

Advantages: Brilliant tracks Disadvantages: Vocal ability of some of the cast
...End by Webber in October 1986 and soon went onto grace the stages of New York in January 1988. The Phantom is an adaptation of Gastron Leroux 1910 novel Le Fantôme de l'opéra. The adaptation turned out to be Webber's second most sucessful show, only slightly behind 'Cat's'.
With the stage production going so fantastically well, the next natural step was always to be make The Phantom of the Opera into a film. News of this move worried me; very rarely have I seen the move from theatre to film go smoothly and see it work. But Phantom fan's seemed reasured to hear that Webber himself along with Joel Schumacher would be writting and directing the film.
With a cast of un-knowns actors, I once again worried about how the cast would cope with the theatrical singing they would have to do; a fear that wasn't put to bed with news that Minnie...

Advantages: Wonderful, melifluous content! Disadvantages: Some songs are somewhat similar.
...This Phantom of the Opera soundtrack has been with me everywhere - in my portable CD player all around town, my boombox in my room, the CD player in my mom's car, my computers, and finally, my iPod. Each and every song is absolutely mesmerizing to hear, and I have many favorite songs from the soundtrack. The song tracks flow really nicely, and the CD compilation as a whole leaves me wanting to play the entire thing over again. In fact, I picked up the DVD for the movie after listening to all of the songs, which I loved, and am eagerly looking forward to watching it.
I would highly recommend this CD to anybody that is seeking spiritual upliftment!! What a great buy!...
