I was recommended this CD by a friend who is into all this G-Unit stuff so I wasn't so sure I would like this, But they lent me the CD anyway after I reluctantly agreed on giving them a try. Diary Of Jane:
Probably my favourite track off the whole album including the acoustic version of this track. The band keep the rhythm going and use the lyrics well. The vocals are outstanding

I was recommended this CD by a friend who is into all this G-Unit stuff so I wasn't so sure I would like this, But they lent me the CD anyway after I reluctantly agreed on giving them a try. I was shocked to begin with because this really isn't my friends type of music he is always saying bad stuff about the rock genre and I was impressed by the band. Intro: Nice little instrumental to open the album with. I love the picking of the guitar it stays strong for the whole 1 min( estimate) of the track.
Diary Of Jane: Probably my favourite track off the whole album including the acoustic version of this track. The band keep the rhythm going and use the lyrics well. The vocals are outstanding
Breath: Another great track with a great rhythm, I think though what captured me with this track was the beat. It's one of those beats that you will find yourself tapping hours after you have listened to the track, It's simple to memorize.
You: This track has awesome vocals and they get better 40 seconds into the song. The guitaring is easy to learn, I wanted to learn it and I thought it would be difficult because I can't read music, so my teacher transferred it to tabs for me and it was really simple. It is a great track to listen to if you are gonna give this band a try I suggest you youtube this song it's really amazing.
Evil Angel: The start of this track has a heavy metal feeling to it and it sounds a bit like something Disturbed would do but when the vocals start that really goes out of the window. It has a strong beat to it and the bass line is simple to learn and to pick out.
Until The End: A very catchy track I have to say. They have a kind of Staind feeling to them with this track and I'm not that keen on Staind but I reckon this band can pull it off. Vocals are Brilliant i would love to see this band live
Dance With The Devil: The lyrics are good to this track although there isn't much to them you really get into the song as if they written three pages full of lyrics. With this track i think it has a slight Metallica feel to it, not much though. Great Track.
Topless: Another heavy metal start and the vocals sound similar to Korn's to begin with but when the chorus starts it tones down a bit. The Rhythm is simple but effective and the beat is a memorizing one.
Here We Are: Not as keen on this song as any of the others its abit to acoustic at the start because it has a bit of an echo to it. About a minuet into the track it picks up but thats for the chorus and then it just slopes back down to echoy acousticness.
Unknown Soldier: After a bit of a downer I was hoping for a better song and I got it. This track is catchy with the vocals and bass line, you also find your foot tapping to the beat.
Had Enough: I like the start it gets your attention and keeps you interested through-out with the rhythm. Vocals as per usual are great and the beat is awesome and easy to learn.
You Fight Me: I didn't know what to say about this track I mean don't get me wring it is good very good, but I don't know it's different to the other tracks. It's slower but still has the heavy metal feeling to it. It has a nice easy piano tune in it aswell.
Outro: It has the same rhythm as the Intro but a slight different riff and you don't get as much background noise as you do in the Intro, but you still get them
The Diary Of Jane (Acoustic Version) When it says acoustic version you think oo nice acoustic guitars because thats what most bands do, but this band went a different way their acoustic style is piano and they took this track and turned it from heavy metal to a nice song to listen to Heck my mum even likes it! I'm currently doing Clair De Lune on piano but this is my next peice, I really do love it, It's different.
People say this is a pop punk band but I don't really think that, They have more of a heavy metalness to them.
Advantages: Fantastic vocals, gorgeous lyrics, exceptional playing Disadvantages: None!
I'm not the poster woman for this kind of music, i'm a 30 something technie but trust me when I tell you, that not since the likes of Paul Rodgers (of Free fame) or Graham Bonnet (Rainbow) has a voice of such power and grace ever been heard. Breaking Benjamin's front man, Ben Burnley, has the kind of voice that can lull you to sleep, or inject such energy and power into you that you feel able to do anything.
This CD has it all. It shows the whole ... ...behind him. Helped in his writing by former Smashing Pumpkins singer-songwriter "Billy Corgan" they have managed to produce songs with exceptional lyrics, some very dark, but nonetheless inspiring and thought provoking.
Evil Angel is a prime example, a gorgeous rocky piece of music behind it, it lulls slightly to allow Burnley's voice to shine before winding it up again in-between. Breath - another track which shines on the CD is constructed perfectly. ...

Quick review of Phobia - Breaking Benjamin
The 3rd Breaking Benjamin album, Phobia still maintainis what made the band so unqiue. While i have only recently heard their "Saturate" album, i can say they have certainly matured. Whether that is a good or bad thing is left to each individual, but persoanlly i found the more brasher Saturate to be more enjoyable, as Phobia is a bit too depressing for my tastes. Don't get me wrong, Breaking Benjamin still retain their style and expert song-writing, but with each latest album, they do seem to be a bit more sombre in their 'feel'. ...

Formed in 1998 by vocalist Benjamin Burnley and drummer Jeremy Hummel, Breaking Benjamin quickly garnered a strong local following. In 1999, the band briefly renamed themselves "Plan 9." In late 2000, after various line-up changes, the band changed its name back to "Breaking Benjamin" and two friends of Burnley, Aaron Fink and Mark Klepaski, left their previous band, Lifer, and joined the ranks of Breaking Benjamin as guitarist and bassist, respectively. ... ...of their part in an MTV cover band contest that resulted in a record deal with Universal Records.
This album sold 131,000 copies in its first week, which made it the fastest selling and highest charting Breaking Benjamin album to date, locking up a #2 spot on the Billboard charts.
One of their most famous songs would be "Blow me Away". This song was featured in the fast paced shoot-em up game, "Halo 2" and is a great song to play along to.

Advantages: Powerful, energetic post grunge hard rock, with moving lyrics Disadvantages: None at the moment.
I just recently discovered this fantastic band when reading about another artist...but thats another story alltogether. :)
I immediately checked out BB on Youtube, and my first listening experience with them was The Diary Of Jane from this record.
I was captured from the very first minute.
The music is really energetic and vibrant. The lyrics are interesting and the overall performance by the band is outstanding.
As of right now I absolutely ... ...Enough and The Diary Of Jane.
The voice of Benjamin Burnley is tremendously powerful and this record has already become an instant classic in my collection.
So if you are into post grunge hard rock you will most likely be fond of this release.
This record is very well produced and I am going to have to recommend it. :o) ...

The lead singer has a beautifully deep voice, the kind every guy wants and every girls wants to hear when she is sung to. It has so much raw passion and energy ... ...bones.
Don't be put off by 'Dance With The Devil' or 'Evil Angel', I hear no evidence of Satan worship or death metal. It's far more reminiscent of Nickelback than Cradle Of Filth.
Some songs I definitely recommend are 'Breath' and 'Diary Of Jane'. Songs with lyrics everyone can relate to, but thinks no one else can, sung by a guy who's been through it all.
A beautiful hardcore rock album worth every penny paid. ...

Album Notes
On its third full-length album, PHOBIA, the Pennsylvania-based heavy-rock act Breaking Benjamin offers up another potent round of moody, riff-laden tunes. While "The Diary of Jane" revels in sheer ferocity and recalls Bush, the emotive "Breath" carries echoes of early Tool, revealing that the ensemble is intent on staying true to its 1990s alt-metal forebears. Although these influences place the group, led by emotive vocalist Ben Burnley, in the company of Nickelback and Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin distinguishes itself with a sense of earnestness and a knack for melody matched by few of its peers. While fans of the band will undoubtedly embrace PHOBIA, the consistently engaging release may also win Breaking Benjamin a new set of admirers as well.
