A good start from Julian

Advantages: Easy read and enjoyable subject matter
Disadvantages: A bit of an obvious lead character

enough attention was Johnny's Grandmother. Here was the only strong influence in Johnny's life but it lasted for a fleeting moment. I find it hard to believe she would have ended her interest in Johnny the moment he went back to live with his Mother. Having said all this, the book is enjoyable and raised a good few smiles throughout. It wasn't quite as funny as I would have expected given this is a novel from Julian Clary and the promising premise. Le Meridien Hotel, St. Julian's - Malta

Advantages: Staff, Facilities, Location
Disadvantages: Lift speed.

On my recent holiday to Malta i stayed in Le Meridien Hotel, located in Saint Julian's. I would not normally have stayed in a 5 star hotel, but I was lucky enough to win some money towards a holiday from the company that I work for. Obviously, with free money, you are going to push the boat out a bit, and I am glad we did!! Location/Area We arrived at the hotel in the dark, quite late on a Friday night. The taxi brought us round a few small streets and then up quite a steep hill, thus bringing us to the reception of the hotel. My first impression was that it was in quite a strange location, but this is because i had only just seen where we were, and also it was dark, so everything seems different. The Young Knives - Superabundance review

Advantages: Catchy songs for any indie fan
Disadvantages: A few weaker songs on the second half of the album

The Young Knives have recently gained more exposure on radio stations and having caught the end of a set at Reading festival I decided to give this album a try and have thoroughly enjoyed it, playing it on repeat on my CD player since then. It sees the band's follow up to the full length album The Voices of Animals and Men (2006). The album starts of very strongly with the first song "Up all Night," which is the strongest song on the album. It is three minutes of catchy indie rock from start to end. Perfect for an upbeat song that could be a favourite on any dance floor. Overall, the first half of the album is very strong, before a good, if not spectacular second half. "Terra Firma" is in a similar mould to the first song, providing an upbeat indie song you can dance to. Other highlights are "Turn Tail" and "Counters ...
