Mister Pip is the first of New Zealander Lloyd Jones' novels to be published in the UK. The book has been awarded the Commonwealth Writer's Prize Best Book Award and was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize in 2007. Mister Pip was also successful at the Richard and Judy British Book Awards 2008.

Advantages: Short episodes to keep young children amused Disadvantages: None
simple though this is aimed for young toddlers and children, not teens or adults.
I would fully recommend this show to parents of young children as I love seeing my own daughter laugh in excitement when watching it, and compared to other programmes, this is simple enjoyable for both parent and child.
And just to add ? The other week we went to a local shopping center especially to meet Peppa Pig who was making an appearance in John Lewis and my daughter was so excited and couldn?t wait to meet Peppa. Once meeting her, she gave her cuddles and held her hand (unfortunately the photos are on my mums camera!) and talked of meeting her for days after even though she met Father Christmas the same day ? it was Peppa Pig who made her happy.

In fact, now that Marks and Spencer have trademarked the product they have come out with a whole host of items in the "Percy Pig" range such as a Piggy Bank (very clever marketing but also very cute, I'm thinking of getting one myself!), bed linen, birthday cakes and pencil cases.
As I just bought the 100g bag I ...
