Advantages: A good mix of songs Disadvantages: Doesnt help you get through the housework
A cd thats a couple of years old now but still fun to listen to.
I mean this cd says its meant to help you through the housework but I personally dont think it really does,if anything it distracts you,because you just start singing along to all the great tracks this album has to offer, you get caught up in the music and completely lose track of what you were doing - maybe a good thing in a way :-)
Housework vol1 is a double album that has some cracking songs that you just dont seem to hear on the radio anymore such as The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda and Don McLeans - American Pie.
The songs on this album just make you feel good and really help to lift your spirits,but I honestly think its marketed wrong,this is a feel good album for anyone just not people doing the housework.I dont think the title of the album really represents ...

Hi, after buying this cd some time back i didnt yet realise how many good songs were actualy on this 2 disk set. Some of the well known artists which appear on here is, DJ Casper, Special D, Scooter, Kelly Llorenna, LMC vs U2, Ultrabeat, XTM and many more. (see below for full track listing)
Compared to any other compilations i have purchased in the past this one has been in the cd player the longest! its great to listen to anytime of the day and basicaly anywhere, whether in your car, house or at work!
This CD is a huge compilation of variousartists and will be enjoyed by anyone who listen's to it. It follows the genre of more of a clubby/trance/electronic disk comapred to other 'chillout' disks.
Overall i rate this CD 10/10 and i love it!

not up to the calibre of a lot of Hed Kandi that I have bought. While I like the chill out tracks in small doses, most of these tracks are six to eight minutes long which is a bit too long for me.
Disco Heaven Mix
By nature of its title I expected this to be my favourite disc, though I was concerned after the Beach House Mix and opening track Real Love by Soul System although a good track was not as good as some that I have heard on this label. Mood II Swing's Can't Get Away From You is a better track. Space Cowboy's Crazy Talk was better but was not blowing me away. Martin Solveig's Rockin' Music was another disappointment. Stonebridge's Put 'Em High is a brilliant track, but has been on many Kandi compilations. Soulsearcher's Feelin' Love added nothing to the mix, but Love is the Music by FR featuring Jenny B was better ...

Originally released in 1983 in the U.K. as a double vinyl LP that famously sold for only 99 pence--and subsequently dominated the indie charts for 19 weeks--PILLOWS & PRAYERS has been given the extended box set treatment for its 25th Anniversary release. This version contains not only the originally sequenced record--here on Disc One--but two more extraordinary discs that read as a Who's Who of the post-punk romantics that dotted the Cherry Red roster in the early '80s. Everything But the Girl, Tracey Thorn, Ben Watt, Eyeless in Gaza, the Monochrome Set, Felt, Marine Girls, and the Reflections are among the many heart-on-the-sleeve luminaries compiled here. The tracklist contains mostly early recordings of these seminal artists--many of them previously unavailable on CD. The handsome box also includes a bonus DVD featuring artist videos.
