Advantages: Natural remedy for Warts and Veruccas, no harsh chemicals Disadvantages: Must be applied twice daily for two weeks minimum
I used this on both of my children; one to treat warts and the other a verucca. A little of the tincture was dabbed directly on to the area night and morning, taking care to let it dry in. Although the improvement was not immediate, I began to see some change after about 7 - 8 days use.
It worked much more quickly on the warts on a finger than it did on the verucca - although this did improve, progress was too slow for my tastes. I eventually resorted to the use of salycylic acid which worked quickly thereafter.
My overall experience indicates that Thuja tincture is more effective for common warts than for veruccas, especially over a short period of time. I did, however, see a definite improvement in the verucca too. My need to clear up the problem quickly meant that I had to resort, a bit unwillingly, to conventional chemical ...

Advantages: Comes in Lots of Varieties Disadvantages: Food colouring gets on hands
I love this time of year, the weather usually improves and we finally get a little bit of sunshine. In addition a bored six year old can finally get outside and play in the garden. Usually however he invites the entire street to come and play with him also which inevitably means that I end up spending a fortune on buying ice lollies and ice-cream cones for them all. It is these that I will now review.
The shelves were full of this type of product however the reason that I chose Askeys cones was due to the fact that my son liked the picture of the funny face on the front of the box and the rather appetising looking picture of a strawberry ice-cream cone ...
Advantages: A change from the bog standard cornet. Disadvantages: May send some kids E crazy!
In the constant quest for "something different" ice cream wise, I found these little beauties hidden amongst the jellies and instant whips at my local Asda store.
The product I will now review are "Askeys party cones".
~~~~~~ THE PACKAGING ~~~~~~
These come in a large rectangular box, blue and bright green in colour, on the front is the "askeys" brand name at the top over looking the product name.
The title simply states "21 party cones", the 21 and the cones part of the text is a cream colour but the party part is in vivid and eye catching colours.
In the right hand corner there is a cartoon clown eating one of the party cones filled with strawberry ice cream and a small starfish with a wand ,and the statement underneath reading "create a little magic!"
Finally there is a small oval cut-out in the right hand corner to show ...
