...This CD is the newest and longest CD released by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, and personnally, in my opinion this CD is the best of the lot. The song Amazing Grace, played by the band on this disc, was a No. 1 hit for five weeks in the UK and Australia, quite a few years ago, but this shows the quality of the playing/arranging done of the music played by the band and recorded on CD.
This CD has lots of great music by the pipe band of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, accompanied by the military bands - which makes it even better. Advantages: World winning pipe band Disadvantages: There is no 2 Jim Kilpatricks
...A really good cd by a top class world winning pipe band. This cd has some of most musical bagpipe tunes ever played by pipe bands in Scotland and maybe the world. Most of the tunes played by the Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia pipe band are composed by their pipe Major Robert Matheson. Robert has written some of the most musical and catchy tunes that any piper would hear or play. Some of the playing in this cd has sent shivers up my spine and has got me to get my pipes out from the cupboard and back to playing and trying to learn a tune or two from this great pipe band....
