**What Is It?** Pirates of the Carribean- At World's End is the soundtrack to accompany the hit Pirates of the Carribean Movie series. Released along side the movie release in May.
**Why Buy It?** I bought my CD because i am personally a big fan of soundtrack from movies (as you'll possibly see from my other reviews!) and i was the biggest Pirates of the Carribean fan. So i thought it deserved to be bought. I also bought it because i collect memoribellia as well so it made sense. Another reason to buy it is if you really enjoyed the film.
**Artists** The Ciao title says 'Various Artists' but there is only one song that isn't composed by the main guy himself Hans Zimmer. Famous for the 'Simpsons Movie' Gladiator' 'Da Vinci Code' 'The Ring' 'Thunderbirds' and the list goes on. So he is very famous in the movie soundtrack world. Every song on this CD apart from one was composed by him. The other artist on this CD is Tiesto. For all you music buffs, yes that is the dance one. Tiesto have done a dance remix of the Pirates
of the Carribean theme. It doesn't sound great.
**Cover** The cover is of the infamous Jack Sparrow (Played by the goregus Johnny Depp!) holding a sword with the misty, spooky grey backround. And with the Pirates of the Carribean logo at the top. So it just looks like the DVD cover really. This might actully confuse a lot of people as they may think there buying the movie but if you have a look at the back you will see the tracklist.
**Music Quality** Is very impressive. Sounds fantastic if your listening to it through 3D speakers. It is very clear and of complete movie quality. This music is directly from the movie and is unchanged and has not been edited so your getting the real thing. The music isn't crakily or doesn't jump and is crisp and clear. I was very impressed by this.
**Tracklist** 1. Hoist The Colours (Choir Version) 2. Singapore 3. At Wit's End 4. Multiple Jacks 5. Up Is Down 6. I See Dead People In Boats 7. The Brethren Court 8. Parlay 9. Calypso 10. What Shall We Die For 11. I Don't Think Now Is The Best Time 12. One Day 13. Drink Up Me Hearties Yo Ho Extra: Tiesto- He's A Pirate
**Compared To Other POC movies** I think that the first 2 movies had stronger soundtracks. The 'Curse of the Black Pearl' has an amazing soundtrack which is completely original and unique. The second, and in my opioion the strongest, 'Dead Mans Chest' had an incredible soundtrack that was memorable and original but still had the feel of Pirates of the Carribean. This soundtrack, World's End', however isn't as memorable. It seems to have lost a bit of sparkle and the magic that the first two had. For that it has lost a star.
**Favourite Song** Definately 'Drink Up Me Hearties Yo Ho' as it always makes me smile. It is my favourite part of the movie (at the end) where that is on where Jack is going to try and find away to get his ship back. This was also included in the first two as well but this version has been changed a little. I love listening to this uplifting song.
**Least Favourite Song** Is 'Calypso' it bores me as it is just a contiuneous beat. Theres nothing really dramtic or exciting about it. I really don't like this song.
**Where Can I Get It?** Amazon, HMV, Borders any sort of CD shop really. I got mine from my favourite shop HMV. You can also download the whole album plus the bonus track on iTunes.
**Price** The RRP is £12.99 but i've never seen it being advertised at that price. Amazon are offering it for £8.97 which is a good price. HMV are offering it for a high £11.99 but that is how much i paid. And iTunes are offering a low £7.99. So you've got a variety there but i think you get your moneys worth. As long as you don't pay over £13!
**Whats Right With It?** It is a great CD to listen to. I really liked the World's End movie and enjoyed the music throughout. If you loved the movie then this will make great listening for you. This is a great movie to chill out with and recall your favourite parts of the movie.
**Whats Wrong With It?** Because it doesn't have the edge that the first 2 have i think it will disappoint a lot of fans. Also i can agree that a lot of people will not like this. So if you love Pirates of the Carribean then you'll like it, but if you don't you probibly won't. Also i think there are only about 2 memorable songs on the CD which will annoy people.
**Conclusion** I love Pirates of the Carribean. I like this soundtrack but i don't love it like the oher 2. The other 2 had something that this one has missed. If i'm honest i found this CD to be a bit of a dissappiontment. All the same it is a fairly good soundtrack to listen to. I am giving this CD... 3 STARS

How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Some of your comments are wrong - this CD is part of the series; not made for the whole series - you have said this later on but you haven't made it clear at the beginning. The crackling has nothing to do with the CD - that is the quality of your speakers/CD - nothing to do with the composing itself. Also, I think people know where to buy CDs.

Am personally a fan of soundtracks that have songs that have been released in the past on them, but sound good! x
The music for this third chapter in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is a ... more
traditional, efficient action score that, due to the film's setting, occasionally incorporates light Asian touches. The popularity of Hans "Long John" Zimmer (all the credi...
