NittyGritty Comb
About a year and a half ago I spotted the NittyGritty comb in my local pharmacy. The design of the comb immediately caught my attention because of its long metal teeth and the spiralled grooves which ran down the length of each tooth on the comb. Having three children in the house who have each had their fair share of nits in the past I decided to buy it incise we had another outbreak. The comb is a lot more expensive than your usual nit comb; but from my own experience this comb is definitely worth paying extra for because it is the best nit comb I have ever used. The NittyGritty comb costs £9.99; I know it sounds expensive but I worked it out and it is actually a lot cheaper than you may think.
There are three young children in our house between the ages of five and ten, and all three children have had ...
hair remains clear, and I really am impressed with how clean this keeps her hair . It picks up anything else in her hair too (paint, fluff, bits of glitter) and she has remained, touch wood, free from nits since getting this comb.
The comb is more expensive than ordinary lice detection combs - it costs around a tenner from most supermarkets and chemists. If, like me , you're on benefits, that can seem quite a lot, but the NittyGritty comb is available on prescription , and its worth asking your doctor (or nurse practitioner) to prescribe one for you if you are exempt from prescription charges.
The comb comes with a lifetime gaurantee, so if for any reasons yours is damaged or broken, you can return it the the company and they'll send you a new one . Despite regular use, mine is showing no signs of wear and tear yet.
I love this comb ...

The NittyGritty NitFree Comb is a metal comb with 33 long spiralled teeth which literally get to root of the problem by removing the nits and their eggs, eradicating the problem in one feel swoop. No chemicals, no potions, no medicines.
After wetting or dampening the hair, apply conditioner (any kind will do but tea tree oil is supposed to be a repellent to headlice so you may prefer to use one containing that or add tea tree oil to any conditioner you have to hand) and then comb through in the first instance with a normal comb to untangle the hair.
Then, working in sections, use the NittyGritty comb to comb through the hair in different directions, working until the comb is clean. And you will see the fruits of your labours!!
I stuck on a DVD and let the girls sit and watch the television and I combed ...
