...featuring reggae flavor du jour Sean Paul, and "Hip Hop Star" with Sleepy Brown and Big Boi lacks both the hip and hop to make it remotely danceable. "Dangerously in Love" improves on the ballads which make the best use of Beyonce's voice. You can't say "no" to the seductive groove of "Yes" while Missy Elliott guests on the solid "Signs." And she shows that she can hold her own against an r&b veteran like Luther Vandross on their cover of "The Closer I Get to You." But the album's best track is "Speechless," a slow jam inspired by the old school that's so smokin' it almost saves the rest of the album. "Dangerously in Love" is ultimately spotty and weighed down by too many subpar tracks, but there's enough material to prove that she does have potential when paired with the right collaborators... ...Hello together. Now i want to present the compact disc "unplugged" by the german artist Herbert Grönemeyer (recorded at MTV unplugged). Herbert Grönemeyer is one of the most famous and succesful artists in germany. He was born in North-Rhine-Westphalia, Bochum. After a break of two year because of his wife´s death, he now publishes his new album "mensch". The "Unplugged Herbert" album is older, but by no means bad and audible. The songs included on this CD: "Chaos" "Keine Garantie" "Halt mich" "Hold me" is a wonderful lovesong, not trashy or sesquipedalian. Only piano and the coarse voice of Grönemeyer create a turned out song. "Ich will mehr" "Vollmond" "Tanzen" "Land unter" "Morgenrot" "Die Welle" "Flugzeuge im Bauch" "Alkohol" This song is about alcoholism, herby describes alkohol as "Sanitäter in der Not" (ambulanceman... ...Unplugged and set apart from his bandmates, Dave Matthews is transformed from a fusion rocker to something of a fusion folkie. Indeed, this two-disc, two-man concert recording (cut in Iowa in the winter of 1996 and shelved for nearly three years) posits the South African-born bandleader less as a Blues Traveler fellow traveller than a dexterous, jazz-inflected minstrel in the tradition of Tim and Jeff Buckley, Terry Callier and Ellen McIlwaine. As with those considerably less-successful performers, multi-platinum Matthews is enticed to soar ever higher by his considerable vocal prowess.
