Advantages: Huge collection of the very best of Genesis from all eras.
Disadvantages: None that spring to mind

I'm 17 - yet my favourite band is Genesis.... Strange that, not many 17 year olds know about this great band. If they do, they?re most likely to not admit it because they?re embarrassed about their knowledge. The wonders of the human psyche. Another strange thing is, I like all three eras of Genesis, whereas most only like one particular era, usually that of Gabriel or Collins. I was slightly confused at first, when hearing both Peter Gabriel and Ray Wilson singing, as I was introduced to them by a Phil Collins track. The way I see it, there are three eras in Genesis? history. This album, aptly named ?Platinum Collection?, covers all three of them in some form or another. Era 1, the Peter Gabriel years is covered on Disc 3. Don?t be fooled by the short track list, for the songs are nice and long. They?re not half bad ...

Mari Wilson -The Platinum Collection

Advantages: First time on cd for many tracks
Disadvantages: pastiche agenda limits wider appeal

a dozen top tenners ,the unheard of but unforgettabe "Baby its you" sounding like a note perfect cover version of a song thet never existed provided the agenda for most of the first album included here ,and the nearly hit "Wonderful"with its flutes and strings still sounds fresh and innocent,and innocent being a perfect adjective to describe this enjoyable experience . Mostly remembered for her bee hive hair do and cod glamour ,"The Platinum Collection" offers a opportunity to show Mari Wilson in a more complimentary light ,being at least as entertaining as her contemporaries of the time like The Belle Stars and the Paul Weller sponsored Tracie!,the obvious nostalgic agenda can irritate after a while but then again this record is not designed for repeated plays merely quick bursts of sunday morning youthful recall. Platinum Egoiste for Men: gold's so 1999....

Advantages: Great smell and quite and quite exclusive
Disadvantages: Heavy bottle and a little expensive

Platinum Egoiste Platinum Egoiste pour homme (for men) is made by Chanel, Paris and I first came across it one night at the theatre when I was sat next to a friend who had the best smelling aftershave on. Fortunately it was someone I knew quite well so I asked him what it was and the answer (of course!) was Platinum Egoiste! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What's it like? I am quite allergic to aftershave for some strange reason but I must admit that I have never really had any problems with Platinum Egoiste at all It's quite an unusual, rich smelling aftershave that has quite a manly smell and is quite strong but doesn't linger or catch. I must admit that whenever I wear it, someone always seems to comment which is good for the ego! It almost has a hint of musk in the smell and rich, fruity spices. It's a great aftershave ...
