Disadvantages: pastiche agenda limits wider appeal

a dozen top tenners ,the unheard of but unforgettabe "Baby its you" sounding like a note perfect cover version of a song thet never existed provided the agenda for most of the first album included here ,and the nearly hit "Wonderful"with its flutes and strings still sounds fresh and innocent,and innocent being a perfect adjective to describe this enjoyable experience . Mostly remembered for her bee hive hair do and cod glamour ,"The Platinum Collection" offers a opportunity to show Mari Wilson in a more complimentary light ,being at least as entertaining as her contemporaries of the time like The Belle Stars and the Paul Weller sponsored Tracie!,the obvious nostalgic agenda can irritate after a while but then again this record is not designed for repeated plays merely quick bursts of sunday morning youthful recall. Brand New Eyes

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: Nothing

Paramore: Brand New Eyes Paramore Paramore, used to be a quartet band, but for the new album they are officially now a quintet. Paramore consist of Hayley Williams Zac Farro Jeremy Davies Josh Farro Taylor York Their first Debut album was ?All We Know Is Falling? which was released in 2005 it reached number 8 on the UK album chart. Then in 2007 Paramore followed that album up with their now extremely popular album called ?Riot!? They may be young but they are incredible musicians and if you haven?t listened to them I suggest you give them a chance. Tracks Careful 5/5 A brilliant start to a new album! Genesis - The Platinum Collection

Advantages: Huge collection of the very best of Genesis from all eras.
Disadvantages: None that spring to mind

I'm 17 - yet my favourite band is Genesis.... Strange that, not many 17 year olds know about this great band. If they do, they?re most likely to not admit it because they?re embarrassed about their knowledge. The wonders of the human psyche. Another strange thing is, I like all three eras of Genesis, whereas most only like one particular era, usually that of Gabriel or Collins. I was slightly confused at first, when hearing both Peter Gabriel and Ray Wilson singing, as I was introduced to them by a Phil Collins track. The way I see it, there are three eras in Genesis? history. This album, aptly named ?Platinum Collection?, covers all three of them in some form or another. Era 1, the Peter Gabriel years is covered on Disc 3. Don?t be fooled by the short track list, for the songs are nice and long. They?re not half bad ...
