The DVD also includes special features such as a backstage interview and behind the scenes footage. This in itself is really interesting. It talks about how long the stage (which is very impressive) took to build and about the dancers, etc.
I can say that TinaTurner puts on the best concert show ever – and yes, she has brilliant legs with ‘those stilettos’ and everything else for a 60 year old. The young and old alike attended this concert. I believe this DVD would appeal to many age groups and is a must for anyone that has ever seen her in concert.
I have been to see many people in concert such as Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating, Bryan Adams, Texas – but TinaTurner beats them hands down. She was ...
Advantages: First time on cd for many tracks Disadvantages: pastiche agenda limits wider appeal
a dozen top tenners ,the unheard of but unforgettabe "Baby its you" sounding like a note perfect cover version of a song thet never existed provided the agenda for most of the first album included here ,and the nearly hit "Wonderful"with its flutes and strings still sounds fresh and innocent, and innocent being a perfect adjective to describe this enjoyable experience .
Mostly remembered for her bee hive hair do and cod glamour ,"The PlatinumCollection" offers a opportunity to show Mari Wilson in a more complimentary light ,being at least as entertaining as her contemporaries of the time like The Belle Stars and the Paul Weller sponsored Tracie!,the obvious nostalgic agenda can irritate after a while but then again this record is not designed for repeated plays merely quick bursts of sunday morning youthful recall.
This is the first time ...
Advantages: Huge collection of the very best of Genesis from all eras. Disadvantages: None that spring to mind
I'm 17 - yet my favourite band is Genesis.... Strange that, not many 17 year olds know about this great band. If they do, they?re most likely to not admit it because they?re embarrassed about their knowledge. The wonders of the human psyche. Another strange thing is, I like all three eras of Genesis, whereas most only like one particular era, usually that of Gabriel or Collins. I was slightly confused at first, when hearing both Peter Gabriel and Ray Wilson singing, as I was introduced to them by a Phil Collins track.
The way I see it, there are three eras in Genesis? history. This album, aptly named ?PlatinumCollection?, covers all three of them in some form or another.
Era 1, the Peter Gabriel years is covered on Disc 3. Don?t be fooled by the short track list, for the songs are nice and long. They?re not half bad ...

Album Notes
This Platinum Collection of Tina Turner's biggest and best-loved hits spans her early years and her power ballad heyday. Featuring such distinguished collaborators as David Bowie (on 'Tonight'), Bryan Adams (on 'It's Only Love') and, of course, her ex-husband the legendary Ike Turner. Turner's barnstorming voice is at the centre of this collection, with well-known hits like 'Proud Mary', 'The Best' and 'What's Love Got To Do With It' standing out as fan favourites. Also included are a live recording of 'Addicted To Love' at the Camden Palace and her soundtrack from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, 'We Don't Need Another Hero'.
