Firstly I must admit to being a major Mike Oldfield fan and own most of his work. Platinum is the kind of CD I like to put on when I'm doing boring chores such as ironing, etc. It is the type of music you can jig along to. It is bright and lively using a wide range of instruments. On the CD the first track is the best and my least favourite is his version of ‘I Got Rhythm' though I can't think of a version of this song that I do like. All in all though this is definitely one of his best works and one which is listened to by the whole family fairly frequently. A CD which won't go wrong in most collections.
