From the first time I heard "Honey" from Play, I was hooked. There are really two different sounds mixed onto Play. The first half of the album, which is my favorite of the two samples all old soul record type sounds. Songs Like "Run On", "Find My Baby", are kind of line old barber shop quartet songs, only with that Moby twist. The second half is similar to an earlier Moby release "Ambient" (also recommended). These are light, airey tunes with basically no lyrics. Great for just listening in the background. Many people around here had only heard "Bodyrock" but the rest of the Cd really isn't like that at all. It isn't really dance music. Moby plays all his own instruments, and that's pretty amazing as well. Another extra is the essays written by Moby himself about his philosophies. All in all, it is a wonderful CD, and I would recommend it to anyone that asked me about it.
