When I bought the Moby album I wasn't sure what the other somgs on the album would be like. The reason I bought this album was because I liked the following songs 'Porcelain, Natural blues' There's something about 'Moby,' that is really original.
There are 18 tracks on this album and they all sound different, What I mean is that i've bought albums in the past and the songs all sound the same.
Honey: Very catchy, a real foot tapper, quite repetitive. 9/10
Find my baby: Not my favourite song on the album, feature Moby saying 'I'm going to find my baby,' all the way through. Although there is a good instrumental going on while he's chanting. 4/10
Porcelain: Very Mellow, calming and relaxing. Quite a slow song, with a fast instrumental in the back ground. Quite a sad tune. One of my favourites, easy to relate to. 10/10
Why does my heart feel so bad?: One of the first songs Moby sang. Slow and no other word to describe it but 'a bit depressing' or 'sad.' Not one to play when you've been dumped. Despite what i've said I do like this song. 8/10
South side: Quite catchy, slow to start off with a faster chorus. Has a certain feel good factor. 8/10
Rushing: Slow despite the title, very calming and relaxing, perfect to wind-down to. Although a bit too slow for my liking. Has a contrast where it speeds up abit into an instrumental to interpret the theme of rushing. 6/10
Bodyrock: Very up-beat, catchy, a bit of a dance tune in parts. 7/10
Natural blues: As the title suggests a 'blues,' type song. Sounds like it's meant to, Moby singing the blues. 7/10
Machete: Very different from the above song. A bit of a rock tune that you could mosh to, if you ask me. 6/10
7: A slow instrumental, not one of the best tracks on the album. 5/10
Run on: A bit of a blues style song, different and quite catchy. 4/10
Down slow: Slow, depressing, instrumental. 5/10
If things were perfect: Moby seems to be talking rather than singing. 4/10
Everloving: Relaxing, quite a beautiful tune, one of the better instrumentals on the album. 7/10
Inside: Reminds me of new experiences that seem wonderful, another good instrumental. 7/10
Guitar flute & string: Quite a sad tune, yet another instrumental. 5/10
The sky is broken: Moby seem to be talking rather than singing, again, quite deep, has meaning though. 6/10
My weakness: A really emotional tune, rather like a wedding march with the piano, hard to hear what's being chanted. A beautiful tune. Another one of the better tunes on the album. 8/10
An Album well worth buying, I haven't played it for a while though. The only bad thing is there are a lot of instrumentals on the Album(at least 5.)

very interesting account. I actually bought Moby's Play whilst in US off the internet as it was 30% cheaper than Uk prices as I wasnt sure if Id like the whoel album, but I am suprised to say I enjoy most of it, he has a rare talent as musician and ability to play a wide range of instruments. Interesting analysis thanks.
