The duo of Tity Boi and Dolla Boy (known collectively as Playaz Circle) brought “Flight 360: The Takeoff” as their second album in 2009. It finds them showing how they are able to represent Ludacris’ Disturbing Tha Peace crew with another album packed with them offering more hardcore Dirty South Rap material. The Atlanta duo’s first hit was in 2007 with the Lil’ Wayne-assisted “Duffle Bag Boy” and they come to work with both him, Bobby Valentino and even Raekwon this time around.

1. “Turbulence” (Intro)

2. “Look What I Got”

After coming off a heavy introductory piece, you see that they dive into a hardcore track and one of the most impactful on the album as they link up with Korleone (of Houston, Texas), and the Texans influence leads to them doing a Chopped & Screwed-inspired joint to take it right down to those ends for one of the most satisfying opening joints you could possibly ask from the act as they show that they are out to do damage this time around.

**Five Stars**

3. “Stupid”

Here they get another Atlanta name to help them out as they do their thing, and in this case it comes from the wackest rapper on deck that is OJ Da Juiceman. It is built up from a track that Juice Man worked on previously with Gucci Mane, but here Playaz Circle make it a banger of a tune that I really can’t see too many wanting to take themselves away from as they do a pure Crunk club banger for the fans.

**Five Stars**

4. “Welcome Aboard” (Lude)

5. “Hold Up”

As this one started up I expected it to be one of the heaviest tracks on the album, but it quickly became apparent that what they brought here wasn’t quite going to take things to a new level as you find that it has some pretty heavy beats but they waste far too much time simply building things up with a rather annoying hook and so it takes away from all the potential that I felt that this jam had within it.

**Three Stars**

6. “Yeah We Gettin’ Rich”

This one features Disturbing Tha Peace’s label owner Ludacris for a great boost to the material and to give you the chance to remind you where they came up from since their feature on Luda’s 2004 album as they rhyme about their grind and how their all had to put in work in order to make successes out of each other. It is a decent one and it keeps it rolling while they deal with some harder subjects.

**Four Stars**

7. “Can’t Remember”

This was the most impactful single from the album and one that has them showing that they can’t simply taken from “Duffle Bag Boy” on its own as they have so much to offer more than that single and are able to come out with commercial hits too and so although this may not have received that much attention, it brings out this side of their music and I felt that it was done to their best standard as they work with the R&B singer Bobby Valentino.

**Five Stars**

8. “Big Dawg”

Lil’ Wayne comes to show his face here as he comes to get on top of the thing and provide the hook in just the way he had on “Duffle Bag Boy” before. He gets on the auto-tuning and sings it for a nice inclusion as the two rapper come out with some raw Gangsta Rap to show that they are still down for this type of things too and aren’t afraid that it may hurt them when they try to move on with later material.

**Five Stars**

9. “Quit Flossin’”

The Casey Boys (known as half of the R&B quartet Jagged Edge) are seen to jump on this one to show more local R&B talent down with this pair, and you see that it makes for a nice little tune on the album where they come out with one that has commercial characteristics, but has them using the typical Dirty South rapping style to show that they haven’t chosen to give in to that side completely yet.

**Four Stars**

10. “Refreshments” (Lude)

11. “Big Wheel Whippin’”

This is another on the album that features some rather impressive beats, but hasn’t really got anything to back it up to keep you interested as you find that after annoying hook comes through, you get the two of the rappers coming out with rhymes that really have no substance to them whatsoever and show that although they can rap about certain things, even when they think up the themes, they can’t stick with them for that long.

**Two Stars**

12. “Weight Droppin’”

There is a massive surprise in which guest comes to bring an appearance here as Wu-Tang’s Chef, Raekwon is seen to lend some of his rhymes over the thing in order to appeal to those who are much more into the lyrical Hip Hop material (and has kept to the traditions that the East Coast scene primarily upheld). Unfortunately Playaz Circle don’t step their game up to try to compete with Rae and so it seems to remain an average one.

**Three Stars**

13. “DJ Know Me”

They get Young Dro from out of T.I.’s Grand Hustle crew to come and help out as they decide that its about time that they take things towards the clubs. You find that here they bring a tune that bridges the Trap-Rap scene and the Crunk that has been seen to apparently phase out to a fair degree since Lil’ Jon’s absence in the game since around 2006. It is a heavy tune and brings things back for them again.

**Four Stars**

14. “Ghetto”

Cee-Lo (of Goodie MOb and Gnarles Barkley) comes to sing his typical soulful stuff on this one as another nice twist that shows that the roots of the Dirty South game still has the ability to hang with those who are pushing things forwards. This is a dark one and seems to take it all back to Goodie MOb’s nineties work, but I can’t say that I felt that Playaz Circle’s effort was as effective as would have been expected.

**Two Stars**

15. “Prepare For Landing” (Lude)

16. “Outta Here”

The album comes to a close with this one as you get one that has him blasting through with some heavy material that I felt was able to give you a chance to forget about all the weaknesses that this album was seen to bring along with it as they get down to some much more straight-forward stuff so they don’t get lost with anything too complicated for them. It is a nice lift to close things off with and give hope for later.

**Four Stars**

I can’t say that this is an improvement upon their debut as I found that although they were able to bring tunes which show progression, they couldn’t display that they were able to do this consistently yet and so it didn’t really make for too strong an record this time around and perhaps they should have just waited until they could make a strong album that didn’t rely upon guests.
