Murphy's War against a disappointing film

Advantages: Stunning visuals
Disadvantages: Lacklustre throughout

Filmed in and around the stunning setting of the Orinoco River in Venezuela, Murphy's War is a 1971 film starring Peter O'Toole as Irishman Murphy, the only survivor of a German U-Boat attack on a merchant ship. I find that war films either hit or miss, and it generally depends on the plot and how it is attacked. A good war film will have a lot of tension, I find, and this film, for me, was too much like going through the motions ...

Wii Play

Advantages: See Review
Disadvantages: See Review

Wii Play: I recently hired Wii play from Tesco DVD Rentals to see if I liked it before buying it and I enjoyed it a lot so I thought I would review it for all of you. Because the games are short, (a minute or so max), you can all take it turns to play without anyone getting bored whilst still allowing enough time for toilet/cuppa breaks. There are seven different mini-games on Wii Play and these are: Shooting Range: This is my favourite game and it involves shooting at various moving targets. There are five levels each with a different type of target each getting steadily more difficult. There are balloons, cans, targets, clay ...
