Advantages: Some great guitar work from Peter Green, introduced to a new genre of music Disadvantages: The odd weak track, some over generic sounds.
, considering my Nan is on her second new hip now.. Mayall doesn?t just play the guitar, he is also a pianist and plays the harmonica and in 2005 was given an OBE, the other piece of important info I found, was that he used to live in a Tree House in his Mum?s garden?
The Hard Road
Released in 1969, at this point, Clapton had left, and the band was now JohnMayall (guitar / vocals / piano), Peter Green (lead guitar), John McVie (bass) and Aysnsley Dunbar (drums).
A Hard Road
Starting off we blend into something typically blues, it is exactly what I expected from the genre (tune wise). There is a strong drum beat, and guitars and piano mixed in the background, and the vocals have that long sound to them. On my first few listenings, this song doesn?t present anything special, it sounds like a rather typical, average blues song ...
Advantages: Great night for British Blues fans.... Disadvantages: An expectation of vintage guitar work, somewhat lacking in conviction
Billed as the return of the 'Big 2', the series of live concerts featuring the Peter Green Splinter Group and JohnMayall and the Bluesbreakers, arrived at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on November 13th.

There were signs through the occasional riff that Peter Green was still a guitar master, but you felt that there was never going to be the energy shown from his earlier work with JohnMayall and with Fleetwood ...
Advantages: Very emotional writing Disadvantages: Quite slow paced
exactly the life of your average teenage boy and not the kind of life any teenage boy would want to live.
Things start to change when Jamey Corboy comes to town. For John, Jamey opens up a world he could never have imagined, introducing him to a life outside his own house. John takes up smoking and drinking and starts growing up and having a life. As he does, however, his mother becomes more and more ill and eventually Mrs Nagle has to come and look after them both. ''John the Revelator'' is the story of John Devine growing up from being a teenager to becoming a young man and all that he discovers about himself and about life in general as this happens.
''John the Revelator'' is essentially a slice of small town Irish life as seen through the eyes of a teenage boy. As with most of life, it's pretty slow moving, but it's also surprisingly ...
