Advantages: Great country album, slow, easy to relax to, some faster, good for dancing Disadvantages: Some tracks don't fit in
...about everything, even when his boss is screaming at him.
6. If Merle Would Sing My Song ++
Again, this track is very smooth and easy to just relax to. As an aspiring young songwriter, Blaine used to dream about someone famous singing his songs, in particular MerleHaggard, and then he could become an overnight sensation. This track has guest vocals by MerleHaggard, so I guess Blaine's dream did come true after all! Much of the track is about his rejection, but he didn't lose hope, and in the end he succeeded - a lesson everyone should learn?
One line I love - 'God didn't give me all these dreams, just to let them die'
7. Yessireebob --
This track has much more of a honky-tonk country feel to it. It'd be good for country dancing to. I don't really like the story in this track. He sees a guy on TV holding up the towel for a swimsuit model...

Advantages: Look it is JOHNNY CASH MAN Disadvantages: none with John at all
...Solitary man was the third in the series of American recordings Johnny did with Rick Rubin at the helm producing and overseeing matters. This partnership produced 4 albums worth of material which were arguably the best in his career. The final album is almost un-listenable not because of the quality of the material but because of the general subject matter, and that you can hear that Johnny knows that his end is coming. This album however is another matter altogether whilst a somber tone takes over most of the album it is more of a celebration of his life rather than a album looking towards life's final journey.
The musicians collaborating on the album is awesome with members of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers , Sheryl Crow, the legend that is MerleHaggard, and his wife June Carter Cash all contributing to proceedings.

11. Adagio for Strings: The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra
The album opens with the now extremely famous Adagio for strings, a haunting and emotional classical piece. It has been used in adverts, TV shows (Spaced) and remixed and released on many popular ‘chill out’ and classical albums. Here it is heard as in the film with the faint sounds of warfare upon a village in the background. What...
