Additional notes
Album Notes: The second collaboration between one of the prominent U.K. sludge metal act Atavist and drone/experimental duo Nadja acts as a fuller realization of what these two bands can do as one. II: POINTS AT INFINITY comprises two 22-minute compositions, giving the music room to breathe, mature, and mutate at will. Their first collaboration can be looked at as a dress rehearsal for what they've accomplished here, a more complete exploration of the mysteries that both bands construct on their own.
Advantages: Great stress relief Disadvantages: Explicit content may offend!
...I first discovered Soulfly when they featured at an "Ozzfest" gig. I never heard of them but really enjoyed them on stage and bought this album, unaware that it was their second release!
#History
Soulfly originally started when Max Cavalera left "Sepultura" in 1996. Full of hate and hurt following the death of his step-son and his close friend Dana Wells, Max's songs portray all forms of hate towards government, society and turns to many faiths to help him.
Max Cavalera - Vocals (song writer)
Mikey Doling - guitars
Marcelo D. Rapp - percussion and bass
Joe Nunez - drums and percussion
Toby Wright - keyboards
#Why is it limited edition?
Its a digipak album including four additional songs and live recordings. The cd case is featured in a cardboard box rather than in a plastic cd case.

Advantages: Musicality, Drumming, Guitar Solos, etc. Disadvantages: No One.
...Led Zeppelin II is the second album released by the English rock band Led Zeppelin in 1969. The album was recorded during a hectic and much-traveled period of the band's career from January through August 1969, when they completed four European and three American concert tours. Each song was separately recorded, mixed and produced at various studios in the UK and the U.S. Some of the recording studios utilised by the band were far from state-of-the-art. The finished tracks reflect the raw, evolving sound of the band and their innovations as live performers. It has been suggested that Led Zeppelin II largely writes the blueprint for 1970s hard rock. Blues-derived songs like "Whole Lotta Love", "Heartbreaker", "The Lemon Song" are now standards of the genre, where the guitar-based riff (rather than vocal chorus or verses) defines the song...

Advantages: Not overlong at 10 tracks, gets better with each listen. Disadvantages: Opening track not the strongest.
...All the best records take a few listens (at least) to reveal their true nature. On first play this sounded like a typical 2nd album - longer tracks, less up-tempo. A month on this has to be my favourite CD of 2007. Nearly all the 10 tracks have resolved into fantastic, atmospheric (and not always gloomy!) tales of urban life and escape. Great tunes underpin the songs, with the now-trademark steepling guitar riffs standing out most in the choruses. Some not unwelcome echos of The Smiths are to be found in the lyrics, most obviously in the title track, but tracks like Weight of the World and Escape The Nest are really uplifting, the latter also containing the finest moments on the album with its soaring, thrilling chorus. What a live track that promises to be... Recommended!
Ok then, what about the digipak? Well if you like a glossy...
