'Pops in Love'

Advantages: Short, sharp pop songs with romanticism for a cynical age.
Disadvantages: Instrumental is a bit too long.

...After hearing his first album I wasn't too sure then when his first real album came out I had to buy it, it was great. This is even better. He raps about things that will tick people off, and also make people laugh. He knows his stuff, just look at what he says about crummy N*Sync and Britney. He has signed by one of the greatest which must tell you that he is great. Anybody who hates pop will love this. Eminem is a first and will be a legend.... Read review

...Personally, i did not like this album as much as the previous albums by this acclaimed group of musicians. I admire their attempt at breaking out of their mold of being a group that has ballad type hits like 'radio' and 'only when it rains'... howver i am a firm believer of sticking to what you are good at, and frankly, the Corrs aint good at whatever it is that is on this album.... its too poppy for them, it doesnt suit their image, neither does it suit Andrea's voice... So.... what im saying is dont buy this album unless you LOVE pop or LOVE the Corrs.... or have money to spare....... Read review

Advantages: Really catchy and fun

...Even though I am not a pop fan (in fact I think its a talentless piece of garbage and the artists have no talent themselves) A1 come across as quite a nice group. There songs arnt my thing but I bought their albulm never the less and atually found it quite cool even though it was pop. Take on me, there latest release is a re-make of an old 80's hit as its remade very nice. As usual with pop there was some uneeded techno-noise which runined the song in places but if they cut that out it would have been an excellent single. I think these guys are definatley pop and if they ever turned to rock it would be very funny but I reckon they should be a bit less pop because pop has no talent and i think that these guys do.... ...talented but they had their own twist on pop music and they have proved themselves to be able too sing they are'nt the greatest singers but they can sing. 'spice' is full of pop songs that are similar to the singles off the LP the best of the other songs are 'love thing' and 'something kinda funny' it is a great pop album. so if you like pop you should stop insulting the spice girls and get down there and buy it... ...U2's previous albums are obviously a hard act to follow, but Pop does this excellently. As the name suggests, it is more directed to the pop sound of the 90's rather than 80's rock, that U2 are perhaps best known for.. It opens with Discotheque, a fast pop/dance song, that was a succesful single when released. Do you feel loved is similar to Mofo although slightly similar. If God Will Send his Angels is another slow pop/rock composition and Staring at the sun is a wonderful blend of different musical genres. Last Night On Earth is one of the more Rock type songs, whereas gone and miami are a weird funk/pop blend. The playboy mansion is another upbeat pop track, and If you wear that Velvet dress is a wonderful piece of music from Bono. Please is perhaps the best song on the album, directing the theme back towards rock, and wake up dead... Read review
