To describe The Power to Believe is not going to be a simple thing I feel. Robert Fripp described the album as their most powerful since their classic Red (1974). The Power to Believe is perhaps the closest a Crimson album has ever come to being as potent and exciting as one of their concerts. The Power to Believe is a stunning colossus of music, coming after their slightly hit-and-miss The ConstruKction of Light and Happy With What You Have to be ... ...than casual Crimson listener), The Power to Believe builds on their Live work after touring Europe in 2000. It features many of the songs featured on their Level 5 limited edition tour CD.
To those you think a band, in whatever permutation, after 30 odd years can only fail toprogress or lack cultural relevance should listen to this album. It is not the kind of music you put on in for a casual listen, a gentle bit of relaxation for going to bed (ok, ...

Advantages: Superb Musicianship and a genuinely AWESOME Powerful Progressive Rock Band!!! Disadvantages: none!
...Little known i suppose because they are Swedish. ' Anekdoten ' are a five piece progressive rock band and unusually have a female Cello player.
This their first album is a magnificent debut CD and sold out i believe in there native country very quickly. Critically aclaimed by nearly all, this really comes close to the power and intensity of ' Red ' era 'KingCrimson', whom obviously they are much influenced by. Stylistically they are a little like fellow Swede's ' Anglagard ' . Another highly acclaimed progressive band. I believe they recorded this album in the same studio as they did.
Very dense , yet melodic themes here with very powerfull Bass / Drums / Keys / Guitar / Cello interplay. The bass work is very remeniscent of '' Chris Sqiure ' of ' Yes ' and indeed 'John Wetton'. Guitar is definitely ' Bob Fripp like. Vocals are sung...

Advantages: Eno's first musical high Disadvantages: One bad track
...World album too. There is a moment in Baby’s on Fire where I think, ooooh, realy need some strident, shrieking Fripp here and what happens. We get strident, shrieking, yet Eno controlled Fripp. He adds the body to Eno’s mind, musical wallop to Eno’s calculated ideas. The effect just needs to be heard to be believed. Immensely powerful, the song ending with the two playing off each other near KingCrimson style – only one vocal and one instrumental; each complements the other perfectly. Eno met his match in Fripp and vice versa and if not always as brilliant as this, they are never boring as they extract exactly want we want to hear from one another. Just plain perfection; nothing else can be said, stunning, amazing; add as many superlative as you like, it doesn’t explain it.
Cindy Tell Me moves away from the raw sound of Baby...
