Advantages: is there any Disadvantages: everything about it
Why oh why oh why do they bother putting this dribble on TV, can't they just put it on some distant mono radio channel rather than waste valuable bandwidth for the visual experience of something that is quite so monotone and audible. Whenever I have been to a church hardly anyone sings, and its hardly Whitney Houston quality, in fact your lucky just to hear someone hit a right note. Yet this program seems to have got the countries reasonable singers in one place.
I find the hymns quite dull and the service uninteresting, God was quite a happening thing you would think they would put a little effort and put some life into it. It’s more like a funeral than praising someone, as normally a person is upbeat if they mean it. In fact I have been too more interesting funerals that were a lot more lively than this program. I would just like to write a review on Songs of Praise, as it is currently on the television! It is a religious (Christian) programme that is always on a late Sunday afternoon, between five and six o'clock or thereabouts. It is shown on BBC1, I am guessing under their stand on representing people from all walks of life.
Why they never keep to the same times I shall never know, but in my own opinion I think that tey should because the majority of people I believe who watch it are older people who are unable to get out very much. The routine they like is disrupted, so why notput it on a regular time slot just like all of their other programmes? But anyway, that is enough of a rant from me.
Songs of Praise is not what it used to be, in my mind. In years gone by, you could tune in to watch a full church service from start t end ...
