I first heard Busted back in Summer 2002. I like all types of music, but most of the artists i like are in a band/group and play their own instruments etc. But, i also like abit of pop and r'n'b too. So, when Busted came along, it was the perfect mix of music to suit me. Soon enough i'd bought their debut album and Busted started to earn themselves a fanbase.
If you don't already know, Busteds fanbase consists of teenagers, mostly girls, but there are male fans too, and younger children. But, i think because of this young fanbase, adults are, well, ashamed to say they are a Busted fan. Which i think is ridiculous. Busted deserve to be recognised. They write and play their own music, but get no respect whatsoever from the older generations.
Their first album was more fun with songs about Britney obsessions and time machines, and they didn't really expermient with different styles and sounds, but produced some great hits.
Their second album, A Present For Everyone, is the same style as the first one, but matured in a way. There are a range of different songs, from the fun pop style like Crashed The Wedding to the emotional, ballad type like 3am. They write about realistic things like their girlfriends faking orgasm, wet dreams and calling up their ex in the middle of the night.
The album consists of 15 tracks: Air Hostess (Self explainitory, all about their love for air hostesses)
Crashed The Wedding (Influenced by Waynes World 2)
Whos David (About a girlfriend cheating with David)
She Wants To Be Me (About a crazy girlfriend who likes you so much, she wants to become you)
3AM ( Written about the times when your drunk and you call up your ex at 3am)
Falling For You (Simply about falling for someone)
That Thing You Do (Again, simply about loving your partner)
Over Now (When a relationship is over)
Fake (A personal favourite, about your girlfriend faking orgasm)
Meet You There (Beautiful, simple song)
Why (Written by Charlie and his brother, the lyrics are extremely well written)
Loner In Love (Self explainitory again)
Better Than This (Matt and Guy Chambers pulled together to write this great track)
Can't Break Thru (James teamed up with Neves key songwriter to write this)
Nerdy (Basically about being the geek in school)
Busted know when to have fun, but they know when to be serious. They deserve success, they haven't appeared on a TV show and practically been given a number one, they earned their number one(s). They've won 2 Brit Awards, both albums have gone multi-platinum and they're all 21 and under.
Busted will be around for years, if you like it or not. I suggest you give them a chance, before you judge their talent.

Advantages: The sound is quite bouncy and fun, the vocal lines are very well sung out. Disadvantages: The music is really quite generic and contrived; it's all been done before and better.
