Ok - right.....I'm a 17, nearly 18 yr old guy who's at a sixth form and i like rap music and punk rock. SO why am i writing a review on this rubbish 'pop' band......well because I don't think they are rubbish, in fact i think they are pretty good and this album is very very good.
They are a pop band, and contrary to all the rumours, they do write their own music and they do play their own instruments. But to be fair, this isn't what you look for on an album, you want a good sound.
Catchy songs, typical pop songs, some different slower songs, some more aggressive sounding songs, but generally a high level of music.
Ok - my own opinion on tracks...
I'm not a fan of the released singles - Crashed the Wedding and Air Hostess....Purely based on the fact the lyrics suck and they are overly cheesy. I mean 'I messed my pants as we flew over france' isn't the best! But having said that, these are incredibly catchy.
Their No.1 'Who's David' is slightly better, again it may not be a lyrical masterpiece, but it's more of a subdued sound, again catchy, but it's that little bit better than the other singles.
To be honest, I think that the unreleased songs are the best bits on the album.
She wants to be me was released, again ridiculus lyrics about a girl who is turning into her boyfriend, but this sounds more rocky, and yet again has some catchy riffs in it, and an interesting interlude.
Probably the best track on the album is 3AM. This is not busted as you know them, much better lyrics, and a great sound using some violins, but the song is extremely...well i don't know...but i would use the word powerful, and i never get tired of hearing it.
Falling for you, and That thing you do aren't too dissimilar, in that both have poppy sounds, and catchy choruses. Not particularaly great to be honest.
Over now is a much better track, slowed down a bit with a bit of a different sound, a solid track Fake is a humourous track, and again is incredibly catchy, there is a much heavier verse near the end, showing their more recent attempt at being a heavier band, which actually works well.
Meet you there is pretty much an acoustic track, good lyrics here, and a very mellow sound, is a nice track to listen to as appose to the samey tracks heard earlier.
Loner in love and can't break thru are stuck at the endof the cd, and i'm not too keen on them, lyrically poor, in fact terrible in some instances 'he caught up with me, punched my teeth in, now i can't even grin'
The other best tracks apart from 3AM - Better than this, where Matty does it on his own, and really delivers a fantastic job in this. Nerdy - Incredibly cheesy, but catchy, and the verses sound great.
My favourite track - Why. This is basically Charlie on his own, and is incredibly mellow to start, then transforms into this rock anthem which really deserves to be heard and given a chance before anyone judges them
So yeh, don't just go, ooh it's busted, but now they've broken up, get it cheap and give it a listen, i think you'll be pleasantly surprised!

I really like Busted. It's not the sort of thing that I usually go for being a fan of Ska/Skacore/Hardcore/Punk - however I just think that Busted did a really good job on this album and produced a cracking CD albeit a cheesy one.

Can't say I'm keen on them but welcome to Ciao ! Lexy
Advantages: The sound is quite bouncy and fun, the vocal lines are very well sung out. Disadvantages: The music is really quite generic and contrived; it's all been done before and better.
