...“That’s the Way It Is” is a combination of Celine Dion’s greatest hits and seven new songs. It is the usual fare for the French-Canadian singer. The greatest hits part of the album makes it a good purchase for anyone who doesn’t have the previous albums but is there anything for the fan with the previous albums? I love Celine Dion’s voice but my biggest criticism has been that on previous albums there are too many album filling tracks rather than songs being in there on merit. TTWIS actually benefits from this as there is only room for the cream of the new material. If you like Celine buy this, if you don’t I don’t suppose you will be reading this!... Read review

Advantages: Erm... Cute band biog?

...of Céline Dion from time to time, or sometimes Britpoppers Alisha’s Attic. If only the album was as interesting as their biography. If you were forced to listen to this CD, I would advise you to choose those sung mainly by Dragonetti. He has a vocal style less hard on the ear than that of his friend. However, if you enjoy listening to original songs, avoid it completely. They seem to have stolen their various styles from other artists past and present. And in songs like ‘Modern Invention’, not even Bob Dylan is safe. As I said earlier, there are songs that remind one of such revered artists as Céline Dion and Alisha’s Attic – if you were to write a badly constructed album of your own, I’d hope that you would at least copy more respected artists than that! I suppose Bob Dylan can be counted as a respected artist, but A) the song that copies... Read review
