Advantages: can make you like a song you didnt before Disadvantages: can wreck songs
...the live lounge CD from radio 1 is formed my covers from other artists found on the jo whiley show. The CD shows the raw talent of some of the uk's new and upcoming artists. This CD also shows songs done in different ways, an intresting change to the songs you enjoy to listen to, and also making you love a song that before you could not stand to listen to. This CD contains 2 CD's so is full of tracks, 40 overall.
the songs are done by jo whiley having bands on her show where they preform a version of there current single and then a cover. all done live.
Some of the tracks on this album are an instant hit, but some can wreck your love for certain songs.
a must buy, a new change for music....

The OC Vol. 1 Review ofOC Vol.1, The - VariousArtistsby
Xanshin
Advantages: Great songs Disadvantages: Lack of well-known artists may put some people off.
...The soundtrack to the OC has always been one of the major selling points of the television series. This CD features 12 of the tracks found on the soundtrack of the television series.
The CD includes the hugely popular theme song "California" by Phantom Planet as well as other songs from the series. My personal favourites include Alexi Murdoch's "Orange Sky" and the brilliant "We Used To Be Friends" by the Dandy Warhols.
The mixture of styles of music makes for a unique CD, and the songs all fit perfectly into the album.
This CD is essential for any fan of the television series and the songs will bring back memories of some of the show's most memorable moments. Highly recommended...

Advantages: It just feels right Disadvantages: where is vol 2 ???
...The Viva Diablo Blanco compilation is a carefully selection of hyms of drum'n'bass / ambient tunes from the mid 90's. You'll be sure to rebember tracks such as Apollo 440's "Ain't Talking about dub" and Fat Boy Slim's "Song for Linda" and at the same time recall some less mainstream artists such as The Aloof and The Art of Noise and on top some very good remixes by the likes of the brazillian collective Filla Brazilia and others.
All in all this album does really capture the essence of the whole snowboarding sub-culture, so the snowboarder on the album's cover isn't just a fluke.
In a few words this compilation is bold, young and fast paced, but still a ambient album that you can play over and over....
