Advantages: Pure Tiesto Disadvantages: Disc 2 lets it down a bit
Just what you'd expect from the God of Trance in his In Search of Sunrise series. Brilliant music. Disc 1 far better than Disc 2 as usual, the club mix of Your Loving Arms (Karen Overton) is what makes the album complete, I would have that song on repeat but fear I may go mad.
Top quality mixing from Tiesto as usual and brilliant choice of songs, just a shame about disc 2 as I tend to drift off or get distracted easily instead of listening. All good though. Tiesto did a Search of Sunrise tour when this was released and I managed to get to listen to it online. It makes you appreciate the album alot more if you get the chance to do that so before you buy this, download the set he did for it online. ...
Advantages: Varied popular songs plus some obscure ones Disadvantages: The obscure songs are probably not to everyones taste
This is the second CD I have brought from this series, I find these CD's a general overview of the years music relating to well known tracks to some that are unknown to me. This therefore make is a very good album to listen to as you know what you are getting from some of the songs. artists like Sterophonics, Muse, Athlete, The Libertines and so on are well known and will appeal to the majority. There are however some more obscure songs bands like Client, Bees, which although are not to bad for my taste they may not appeal to everyone.
On the whole I have found this to be a good album in my collection and one that I will listen to if I can not make up my mind. If you like the main popular songs on this album then I would recommend to have this in your collection. ...
Advantages: A few scarface film samples Disadvantages: Nearly the whole thing
Many people have been influenced by the scarface film and the rap genre has especially referenced to it man songs. This is now an official compilation of songs with money, power and respect themes. as you would imagine, all are rap.
Put together in 2003, this def jam idea includes songs by Nas, Mobb Deep and Notorious BIG, some made especially for the album some old tracks that just fit. None appear in the film but there are samples and dialouge used from the picture.
