Advantages: Great songs, great lyrics, Sharon den Adel's fab voice

...and released in 2000. **The Cover** My album cover is not the same as the one shown in the product information here, and I believe that is because I have the special edition which includes a DVD. The predominant colour of the cover is green, and we can see Sharon den Adel peering from beneath her fringe, with a forest illuminated in green behind her. The name of the band and album title is written in a Celtic style font, and that combined with the name of the CD perhaps gives the impression of a folk-style album, though whilst there are definitely Celtic influences, don't be misled by the cover. Advantages: fun songs that you will be humming for weeks
Disadvantages: never going to be the coolest or most original band

...When I first heard the Scissor Sisters, I was suitably impressed. However, I did not find out their name until about two weeks later. The song was Comfortably Numb, a cover of a Pink Floyd song. Upon finding this out I went to my dad's record collection and played the original. Once I had heard that I realised the Scissor Sisters had more to them than just one track, the cover was far better than the original. 1. Laura 7/10 This was the first song released by this band and, although not a bad song and certainly a good opening track for an album, I wouldn't have put it as a single. Maybe that's why they aren't known for this song. There are better tracks on the album, but it is a decent enough song. 2.
