Prosthetic Dreams - Signal Lost

Advantages: A very different horror movie, with a unique style
Disadvantages: The movies budget seems variable, going from high to low budget

...The Signal is a bizarre and contrasting horror movie that not only mixes genres but financial budgets, it's strange weirdly compelling and ultimately very different from any other horror movie currently doing the rounds. As The Signal begins I'm strangely reminded of Quentin Tarentino's Grindhouse movie compendium (Death Proof and Planet Terror) the movie begins with a grainy image filled with watermarks, a typically 70's opening credit sequence with lurid blood red titles. Behind this entire added ambience we see a woman imprisoned in a log cabin, outside her friend and previous fellow colleague in imprisonment tries to check if a dead woman outside is okay; from nowhere a sinister bespectacled figure looms up and ends the life of the concerned woman. Advantages: A good and inexpensive family toothpaste
Disadvantages: none

...Choosing a toothpaste that suits your gums is easier said than done. My front teeth are rather sensitive and the Dentist recommended using Sensodyne, the Dental nurse kindly gave me a sample tube. I was told that you had to persevere with Sensodyne, the toothpaste doesn`t offer instant relief but used over a period of time it supposedly calms the sensitivity. Sensodyne averages £2.50 a tube and after using it for a month I felt the benefits weren't great enough to justify the cost. Some toothpastes have a nasty habit of making my mouth sore, so if I find one that leaves my mouth feeling fairly fresh and no soreness occurs after using it then I tend to stick to it. Signal toothpaste was introduced to Europe in 1965, it is cleverly constructed, the two colours (red and white) are sufficiently viscous so they don`t run into one another... Read review

...Now on writing this opinion, I have to tread carefully as you will all laugh when I tell you I cannot stand mint based toothpastes. Ok then I get fruity flavoured toothpaste that is for kids but if I ever run out of it, then I use Signal. Signal is made by a well known company called Lever Fabergé. The box is around 8 inches by 2 inches and is oblong in shape and the colours of the box is predominantly blue fading into white with Signal written in dark blue and a picture of a sample of the toothpaste on a brush. On the other side there is some customer advice and support information. This box contains a 50ml plastic tube of toothpaste that is a replica of the box. It has a white twist lid which is fairly easy to open. When you take off the lid straight away you can smell mint and my tummy begins to turn as I already said I do... Read review
