Advantages: A great book about opposites, brightly illustrated. Disadvantages: None
I bought this book for the nursery children in my school when I was assigned a task of discussing opposites.
♠♠♠ The book ♠♠♠
This book is a simple introduction to opposites, explained by a little boy and girl, Nick and Sue.
The two characters begin by introducing themselves. They introduce a range of opposites which I shall outline below:
?We?re up above? ?.. ?We?re down below?.
For this double page spread, Nick and Sue are in an aeroplane for up above and in a submarine for down below.
? A noisy dog??? ?A quiet cat?.
Nick has the boisterous noisy dog out for a walk, whilst Sue is sitting calmly on a large chair with a sleeping cat on her knee.
?This road?s bumpy???. ?This road?s flat?.
Sue is driving a car (odd when she?s only about 5 years old, but we won?t go there!) on a very ...
Advantages: easy to use, good results Disadvantages: none for me
I have been colouring my hair for years. My natural colour is mousy brown and it is very boring. My hair has been all different colours including blonde and I have used many different brands of hair colour. The colour I always end up going back to is red and my favourite brand is Clairol Nice ‘n’ Easy. These days I tend to go for the subtle shades and I am at the age where the grey hairs are starting to appear so I like to keep these well covered.
I don’t usually pay the full price of £5.69 as I wait until it is on special offer in Boots and I bought it last week for £3.79. Boots usually have a good choice of colours in Blonde, Red, Brunette and Black. Each box on display shows a model on the front with hair colour for that shade. So it is easy to see what the colour is likely to be. Each colour is clearly marked ...
Advantages: Some fun, catchy tracks, he co-wrote some of the tracks Disadvantages: Some tracks are a bit weak and unmemorable
.
5 - Girls In The USA - This is more of an anthemic rock track, with a heavy drum beat in the background. Here Nick clearly shows his favour for American girls lol.
6 - I Got You - This is another of the better tracks on the album, I feel. Its similar to track four in being lighter and a bit slower than other tracks but its got a nice beat to it and is also a good sort of a summer-y sounding track. It sounds like more of a personal track and is quite good pop/soft rock material.
7 - Is It Saturday Yet? - This is probably one of the weakest tracks that is really just pop material. Its rather daft but it is kind of catchy and younger fans would probably quite enjoy it, the chorus is particularly catchy, which mainly involves repeating the track title numerous times.
8 - Blow Your Mind - This is one of the louder rock tracks ...
