...With three cds and over three hours of music, Pure Garage Platinum brings together the best sounds of the five preceding Pure Garage albums stretching back to 2000, whilst adding a few ‘new’ songs along the way. There are 50 tracks, presented on three black compact discs with futuristic silver and blue fonts, which match the colours on the box of the set itself. There is no specific feel to each disc but the third disc features the most new material.
From the 50 tracks on the album, only of 13 them are new, so only 25% of the total. Having said that, the other 75% span five double-cd boxed sets so it is difficult to say whether it is worth buying. For someone who wants to know more about, or get into, the garage scene and wants a good summary of the last three years of garage music, you can’t go wrong with this. If...

Then in 1997 came the daddy the god the big cahoona, FAT OF THE LAND.
Firestarter and breathe both number 1s.
And the funky Narayan with Kula shakers Krispin Mills not forgetting the hallucinating climbatize and controversial smack my bitch up (the bird was thrust in the face of the do good brigade) if you don’t know what I mean watch the video and the twist at the end a classic in my mind.
After this album myself a fan can only admit the way was down with two more albums mainly driven By Liam Howlett cam the dirt chamber sessions.
A travesty when I first heard it but it grew on then last year and me Always out numbered never out gunned, which I can safely say the best singles are from the 1992 to 97 era.
This album is nothing new but that it takes the best from the 5 albums and puts the back to back so there...

Advantages: Great mix of The Prodigy's greatest hits. Disadvantages: Shame they didnt put more tracks on it.
...The Prodigy are a British electronica (or big beat) band whose style has been heavily influenced by the Acid House Movement. The Prodigy's varying style can best be described as rave or hardcore techno. The band's permanent members are Liam Howlett (composer/keyboard), Keith Flint (vocalist) and Maxim (vocalist). The Prodigy formed in the early 1990s and in 1991 their demo was released by XL Recordings. They have released five albums, including the demo "What Evil Lurks" in 1991, which was followed by "The Prodigy Experience" in 1992 (reached number 12 in the UK charts), "Music for the Jilted Generation" in 1994 (reached number 1 in the UK charts), "The Fat of the Land" in 1994 (reached number 1 in both the UK and the US charts) and finally "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned" in 2004 (reached number 1 in the UK charts).
