Advantages: A Powerfull and Impressive Record By Any Bands Standards Disadvantages: Not Quite Impressive Enough For Me
...……
The first track "Pandemonium" starts of with some middle eastern sounds which continue throughout before lunging into a robotic metallic grove, no one other than Killing Joke can do this sort of thing this good, Youths rumbling bass line is superb, as Jaz sings about seeing tomorrow and hearing the pandemonium, what an opener to the album it was almost all the classic elements are there. Then we go onto "Exorcism" which was recorded in the Kings Chamber of the Great Pyramid, the main problem during the recording of this was that the pyramid kept draining the power from the batteries on their equipment. This song is a rite preformed by the band through music and lyrics purging nasty stuff from you and is a techno metal piece of relentless nastiness. A lot of folk slagged them off for copying Ministry here but since KJ have always done this sort...

Advantages: Gorgeous sultry tango music for late-night listening. Disadvantages: Only about 40 minutes of music, not to everyone's taste.

Advantages: 7 great tracks :-) Disadvantages: 4 duds :-(
...goes straight from the chorus to the verses without the instrumental bits inbetween, which made it sound awkward) as well as half the guitar solo. A song that The Sisters Of Mercy would probably be proud of.
"Beyond Redemption" is quite good, with weird keyboards, chigging riffs and breathless, echoing vocals, although not one of their best.
"Sweet Pandemonium" is again a majestic song with a vaguely Black Sabbath-esque riff (for some reason the riff makes me think of a modern-sounding "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath", even though the rest of the song doesn't - for a start the production is completely different), a catchy chorus, and is one of their best and most underrated songs I think.
"Soul On Fire" is a fast, frantic-sounding song in the vein of "Buried Alive By Love". Great track, although sometimes it sounds a bit overproduced to me...
