Advantages: Perfect example of a great championship stadium with a great level of football! Disadvantages: Can get busy in eating area at half time
I am not personally a Southampton fan (and nor am I a Portsmouth fan), I actually support Southend United, but I recently moved down to this area and many of my friends support Southampton. Last Friday I was asked by my fiend, who is an avid Saints fan if I wanted to go with him to watch them play at home in a friendly against Celtic and so I said yes.
It was a great match and despite Celtic winning 2-0 the atmosphere was great and I really enjoyed myself.
I have now visited many different stadiums in my time from very small league 2 team grounds, some with standing sections and the great Nou Camp which I recently reviewed. However, I was pleasantly surprised by StMarys - the home ground for Southampton FC and really enjoyed my visit there.
Here are some facts:
Name: StMary's Stadium
Inauguration: 11 August 2001

Advantages: Lots of history, free to visit Disadvantages: None for me
the American Quaker movement. He built a large settlement on the banks of the River Delaware which was to grow into Trenton, the present day capital of New Jersey State, but his legacy also lives on in the name of his large stately home that he built in Trenton which still stands today and is called Ballifield, after the place where he was born in Handsworth.
Visitors to StMary's are always welcome and I have been inside the church many times. It is still used for services and is usually kept open during daylight hours. Admission is free and the churchwardens will be happy to answer any questions that you might have. It's not the sort of place that you would travel a long way to visit but if you are in the area it is certainly worth a visit. ...
Advantages: Funny, lots of information, nicely presented Disadvantages: Best for children
* MaryQueen of Scots and Her Hopeless Husbands (Dead Famous) Review *
This book is part of the quite popular Dead Famous series which I quite recently got in a box set and each book averaged out at about £2 instead of the usual £4.99 which was quite a bargain and encouraged me to buy these books! The books is 208 pages long but could be read quite quickly die to the fact it is similar to the Horrible History books and has various cartoons, letters, pictures in it which keep the book from being boring but also take up quite a large amount of room.
This particular book is all about MaryQueen of Scots and her exciting life. Within a week of being born her father died so Mary became Queen of Scots and a monarch ? not bad! She is soon sent over to France to marry her first husband who was a bit useless and was also Queen ...
