I have recently returned from a short break in Northumberland and stayed at Purdy Lodge, which is a Travelodge/Premier Inn type hotel, next to a service area on the A1.

Purdy Lodge is located right next to the A1 at Adderstone Services, which is located at the turn off for Bamburgh on the A1.
When travelling through Northumberland you cannot fail to miss the hotel. It is in a great position to use as a base to explore Northumberland, which is exactly what I did.

I had passed the hotel many times, and often thought about staying there. I only live around an hour and a half's drive away further down the North East Coast, but like to visit Northumberland often for days out and short breaks, as there are some fantastic places to visit.

I already had my holiday for 2005. We went to New York for 10 days in January. It was really great, although it was also very cold. We even got stuck in the blizzard of 2005.
We have not booked any other holidays yet, although we may go to Belfast once or twice this year. I would love to go to Toronto in the fall, but I do not think it is on the cards financially this year.
(2) HOW DO YOU BOOK YOUR HOLIDAY?
I always book on line. Generally, I check Expedia, Travelocity and Lastminute. 9 times out ...

I thought I would do this challenge as I love holidays and have written several reviews , I could say I am passionate about them and because of this ahave been awarded diamonds. So here goes, as i had used Everything beginnibg with H - I used P as Purdy wrote the challenge!

Yes, we have two booked. Some time ago, I wrote a review on Timeshare Holidays and how we were captured! We actually changed our apartment and the week, which we had booked when we were there last April, to a larger one and later bringing it into the Red zone, which is the most popular. So one holiday is guaranteed each year unless we exchange it to Malta at the Eden Bay Resort. Our second was booked recently for easter and we are going to Tenerife for the first time.
