Advantages: joyfull cd, full of spirit
Disadvantages: none

...well i think this cd is brilliant its very uplifting and joyfull, when i listen to it the joy of jesus just comes on me, the songs are mixed but all with a celtic backround and its diffrent artists and some of the songs you will proberbly reconise from church, even them or played with a celtic backround, the artists on it include kathren scot, robin mark, sheila walsh,, the actually producer of the cd is Don Moen. even the songs that i didnt know on this cd i just enjoyed straight away. its not one of them that you have to listen to a few time to know wether you like it or not, anyone that like lively music that just refreshes you will love this cd. It realy has helped cheer me up when i have been a abit down. And it only cost me a fiver brand new form the book shop (what a bargin)... Read review

Put your feet up, and relax......
Review of Classic Chillout Album Vol.2, The - Various Artists by woodnymph

Advantages: Helps relax and unwind.....
Disadvantages: May already own a lot of the songs.....

..., to a catchy beat with percussion... Not much else to say really! Think my Mum might like this one, find it a bit slow and dated. 4 ~ Gymnopedia No. 1 ~ Joolz Gianni & Ty Unwin Nice floating song, with a softer female vocal. Very famous tune, will recognise when heard!! Great in bath with cadles lit all around. Perfect chillout.... 5 ~ Melt ~ Leftfield Need I say anything? Pure chillout...... One of my old favs....subtle saxaphone, with a beat, slowly building.... Has an underwater sound to it, perfect for relaxing to. And again, I already have this tune on a Leftfield album I own. 6 ~ Talking With Myself '98(Canny Remix) ~ Electribe 101 Starts with waves breaking on a beach, so instantly relaxing.... Then the beat starts, with electronic noises cutting in and out with the time of the waves. Then the melody starts...which is beautiful... Read review

The Celtic Collection
Review of Celtic Collection, The - Various Artists by JezM

Advantages: Beautiful and atmospheric
Disadvantages: Too short and not for everybody

...Before we start, a brief introduction to Celtic music. Originally Irish and Scottish (well, the Ireland and Scotland, as well as parts of England, of Celtic times (think William Wallace aka Braveheart)), Celtic music is, generally, not as popular as most other forms of classical-based music. Although there are many instantly recognisable Celtic songs, as well as artists (such as Enya, Celtus, Maire Brennan), people know very little about this beautiful form of music. Most Celtic songs have pipes, fiddles, powerful drumming, with maybe a bit of piano, guitar or even keyboards (like Celtus), as well as the Irish bagpipes and many strings offering sweet chords in the background. Quite often, there is also singing, either in English or, more traditionally, Celtic/Gailic. For this reason, I like to think Celtic music as a combination... Read review
