Advantages: All the good songs in one place Disadvantages: Recycled old beats
you are a garage lover looking for new material, look elsewhere. If you detest basslines, you can forget about buying this cd now. On the way is hard and heavy basslines, rough and ready MCing and some sweet and smooth female vocals.
Five tracks from the PureGarage series I think deserved to be on this album are: Bump N Flex - Promises; Dee Kline – I Don’t Smoke; Teebone Feat. MC Kie & MC Sparks – Fly Bi; Monsta Boy – Sorry; Shox – Monkey.
The mixing is spot-on by DJ EZ and most of the time there’s a good track on the way in. If you don’t like it, there’s relief to be had via the skip button. Most of the track selection is excellent and there is diversity to be had in terms of the composition. Varying heavy bass-dominated tracks with proper songs given the remix treatment, plus ...
Advantages: Todd Edwards on the mix Disadvantages: Bit old now but still an essential purchase
into a ripping ever so catchy bass line. Moving onto the second CD as mixedby Todd Edwards, my favourite, you simply can't go wrong. Track after track is pure bliss and will have you nodding your head from beginning to end. My personal favourite tracks include 1000 years From Today, which I've seen going for several hundered pounds on ebay. Another belter is Walk Away by Hakan Libdo, words simply cannot describe the pleasure of hearing this tune cranked up as is one of Todd's finest ever and most popular productions Shut The Door. I must also mention Todd Edwards's sublime mix of Moloko's Pleasureseeker which constantly gets rewound when played. An absolute essential purchase for dance and garage music lovers alike.

's favourite, DJ EZ?
Kicking things off is one of Ez's numerous intros and boy, does it set the tone of things to come, full of energy, this really lets you know what to expect from the next thirty seven tracks. As EZ chops, cuts, blends and scratches his way through some great classic tracks which are a good representation of the UK Garage scene at the turn of the millennium:
Tony Momrelle's version of the Alexander O'Neal's 'If You Were Here Tonight' is an excellent example of how to do a cover version without massacaring the original. Momrelle's take on this track is equally as soulful as O'Neal's but injects it with some energy. This is a real summer tune.
E.S. Dub's 'Standard Hoodlum Issue' (more commonly known as Reflex Action Like A Snake due to the vocal sample) has such a distinctive and powerful bassline that I think anyone would ...
