...Queen were one of the greatest bands of the last twenty or so years. Their Original Hits I was sensational and Original Hits II is equally superb. The CD contains some of the British band's greatest hits and you will come across the late Freddie Mercury in full swing and guitarit Brian May demonstrating his outstanding playing skills. On side I the following are the tracks " SIDE I A Kind of Magic Under Pressure Radio Ga Ga I want it All I want to Break Free Innuendo It's a Hard Life Breakthru Who Wants to Live Forever SIDE 2 Headlong The Miracle I'm Going Slightly Mad The Invisible Man Hammer to Fall Friends will be Friends The Show Must go On One Vision Several of these tracks were commercially enormously successfull. Advantages: Beautiful, romantic voice and songs

...decided to check on Amazon to see if they had any CD’s of his. I was actually surprised by the amount, but decided that I would treat myself to this 4 CD set: The Golden Years of Dick Haymes (Let the Rest of the World Go By). The ‘Golden Years’ for Haymes have to be the 1940’s and, although that seems a lifetime away, most of the songs on these discs will be very familiar. Now, I will start by saying that I have absolutely NO intention of listing the hundred and one songs here, but you will have to forgive me for mentioning a few of my favourites – not easy as I love so many of them! Advantages: Mercury and May at their best.

...'s take on the classic song Big Bad Leroy Brown. The style of the song comes completely out of the blue in comparison to the other tracks on this album. And has roots in Freddie's music hall upbringing. Brian May plays his father's ukelele (the first instrument Brian learned to play.) She Makes Me - subtitled Stormtrooper in Stillettoes, a slow, drowsy beat. A simple love song penned by Brian May. In the Lap of the Gods...revisited - A firm favourite of Queen fans and played frequently at their concerts. The lyrics of this anthemic track are another dig at Queen's management as Freddie grew more frustrated at the lack of income the band were receiving. The release of Sheer Heart Attack came closely after the release of Queen II. It was recorded at a very difficult time for the band as despite their success they received very little income...
