My husband and I have just finished watching another DVD boxset. This time, it was the Definitive Collector's Edition of QueerasFolk. I received this for Christmas, but it is currently being sold by Amazon UK for only £13.97 and is well worth the money, as you get a lot for that.
The boxset consists of -
QUEERASFOLK - the entire first UK series, which is eight episodes
QUEERASFOLK 2 - the two episodes which made up the second series
plus over two hours of extras, which include extended and deleted scenes, trailers, commentaries, documentaries and various interviews. (More on these later.) There's also a 32-page booklet written by Russell T Davies. Yes, the man who brought Doctor Who back to the BBC in 2005! He also wrote QueerasFolk, back in 1999.

OK album, with a nice mix of different artist most of which i have never hear of before. As you can probably tell I'm not usually into this kind of music but being someone always looking to expand my musical horizons, I thought i would give it a go but was not too impressed.
Most of the songs featured were not too impressive, many of which sounded very boring and generic for the genre.
Track 15, Green Fields of France - Furey & Davey Arthur was probably one of the most impressive tracks on the album; this song featured delicately sung lyrics and an impressive story which i think is based on world war 2. Some of the other tracks were almost up to this standard but were too boring and didn't catch my attention. ...

Disc two is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Compilation producers: Michael A. Perlmutter, Scot McFayden. Ever since crossing the pond from England, Showtime's QUEER AS FOLK has made quite an impact as one of the first original TV series to revolve around the love lives of young gay men (in the American version the locale is switched to a Pittsburgh-based club called Babylon). As with HBO's THE SOPRANOS, music has come to play a crucial part in helping provide the highly charged ambience that infuses every episode. For the 2-CD QUEER AS FOLK: THE THIRD SEASON, Disc One is dominated by intriguing remixes of dance diva Kristine W., drag-queen/actress Divine and former Expose member Gioia, who checks in with an erotically charged Junior Vasquez remix of "From the Inside." Although a Danny Tenaglia Club Mix of Yoko Ono's "Walking on Thin Ice" causes a bit of head scratching, it's no more unusual than the inclusion of Swedish psychedelic rockers Soundtrack of Our Lives' "Infra Riot" on Disc 2. A mix of songs by Underworld, Sneaker Pimps, and Pete Townshend may makes this the most eclectic volume up to this point, but both gay and straight dance music fans will still find plenty of great mat243460
