RCA Country Legends [Remastered] - Charley Pride

Advantages: Fantastic tracks, very listenable album
Disadvantages: Sun is SHining is not on it

...Since seeing The Wailers perform at the London Rise Against Racism festival, it reminded me of how many great songs they have in their repertoire with Bob Marley and decided it was long overdue to buy a Best Of compilation. The album starts off with Is This Love the Marley penned classic from 1978 and the song really needs no introduction. It was taken from the Kaya album, which revolved around the duel themes of love and marijuana, and this instance the song was about love. It is a beautiful song, and certainly at the Rise concert, got the crowd singing. It is followed by No Woman, No Cry originally from the Natty Dread album and is about the struggle of life in the Trenchtown, the rundown part of Kingston, Jamaica where Bob grew up with his mother after his father died. ...Where can i start. Legend. This album is a timeless masterpiece that should be spoke of in the highest of terms at all times and forever more, bob marley was one of the greatest reggae artsits of all time and his legend still lives on today, even though this album still miss's a few of his true original greatest hits with the wailers and solo songs, it still shines a good representation of what he achieved over his years with us. RIP id recommend this to anyone, wanted to feel warm, relaxed, and enjoy good music, with tracks like exodus, stir it up, redemption song, all thought inducing, mind altering, world changing songs, that have last a massive bob marley Dent on our earth buy it... Advantages: A couple of strong Sade tracks,polished production
Disadvantages: a number of weak tracks and a tired feeling to it

...In 1988 Sade released her third studio album 'Stronger Than Pride' following the highly successful debut 'Diamond Life' and the less commercial 'Promise'. Always sultry and sensual this album is another cool and classy offering of jazz/pop. All the tracks are self penned with the band and 'Stronger Than Pride' has a strong exotic feel to it and definitely conjures up images of a long hot summer.However the album loses strength towards the end and runs out of steam. 'Love Is Stronger Than Pride' is the title track from the album and was an obvious single. Soft and lush it is a song based on rhythm and feel as opposed to sweeping instrumentation.Like most Sade songs she speaks of love and often of its demise.She sings 'I won't pretend that I intend to stop living.I won't pretend I'm good at forgiving but I can't hate you...
