Advantages: good mixture of songs from diffrent years Disadvantages: a couple of annoying songs id rather not hear
I was quite impressed with this compilation very good value for money as it has a 40 songs that are a good mixture of r'n'b hip hop and some soul songs from variousyears, from salt and pepper to kanye west there is sure to be tracks on here that you will love and may i add quite a few number ones and other huge hits,
The cd itself is easy listening with some up tempo songs that will have you dancing and singing and also some slow songs to wind down and relax to, its also a double album so you wont be short of songs to play all in all id recomend it if you like r'n'b, its deffinatly a cd you need in your collection,
I bought this on ebay for a pocket friendly £7 but it is also available at Amazon, Hmv, Tesco and many more online stores the cheapest i have seen is for £12.75 from Cd Wow
enjoy :)
The track listing are as follows ...
Advantages: Songs for all moods, happy, sad, angry etc. Disadvantages: A couple of dud songs on there to watch out for
Ok, so I bought the previous R&Byearbook in 2005 and thought it was alright, but listening to this one really lifted my impressions of R&B music. I saw the CD from a Tesco store near me for about £15 and decided to give it a shot, little did I know until I got to the checkout till that it was their last one in stock (just shows how popular it must have been). It contains mainly R&B music with some Hip-Hop, some Rap and even a little bit of Reggae in there as well!
The first CD begins with a few of the biggest uplifting hits of the year in my opinion (Deja Vu, by Beyonce, and the wonderful Hips Don't Lie, by Shakira). Not to mention "Beep" by the Pussycat dolls ft. Will.I.Am (from the Black Eyed Peas). "Beep" is a nice number in a minor key, great to listen to at any time of day.
Then the mood is taken down a notch with Ne ...
Advantages: Comprehensive round up of the big tunes of 2008 Disadvantages: No beyonce! shock, and some horrible non-R&B on CD2
& Lloyd combine on the absolutely stunning 'Girls all around the world' for a more classy and less pop moment, this may be a track that you'll hear for the first time on this CD. Things get a little more into the pop-hip hop territory with Soulja Boy's brainless 'Crank That' and yet more Lil Wayne with his 'Lollipop'. Two club bangers for sure. One of the biggest all-guy R&B acts to hit the US this year was 'The Dream' and 2 of their big hits of 2008, Falsetto and Baby featuring LL Cool J both appear towards the end of the first 20. Welcome inclusions. As well as the understated and beautiful 'Way That I love You' from Ashanti.
Moving onto CD 2, another 20 tracks with no particular thought process to their placings. An R&B CD showcasing the biggesthits of 2008 would not be complete without an appearance from Rihanna, and she starts things ...
