Advantages: Plenty of R&G Disadvantages: Not quite a Masterpiece
When Snoop Dogg came out with the enjoyable summer jam "Beautiful" a couple years ago, many of his fans thought he was selling himself out to make some money. In actuality, he was realising that he was getting old. He couldn't be the gangsta who threatened undercover cops in his younger years nor could he continue in the same mindset without seeming generic. While he still continues dabbling in the gangsta lifestyle, his image has mostly changed ... ...degenerate-looking gangstas, he now hangs with the impeccably-dressed-yet-disturbingly-flashy Don "Magic" Juan. Advantages: Music is up to date for its time Disadvantages: he is trying to be a pimp again!
I have always been a fan of snoop dogg and have always been interested in his extremley controversial lifestyle and music. Alot of people years ago avoided 'Snoop Dogg' because of the way he exploited women, talked about gang banging and many other things like that,(alot of others didn't though) but then the times changed and so did the world and people no longer had freedom of speech. On this album Snoop has come back with avengence, and with the ... ...and JT. Pharell as you all know is an absoloute production genius. He has changed the way snoop writes his lyrics and the way his music comes across. I for one love the whole' Glammer' thing. You know running round pretending to be a pimp and all that and now he has pharells help he can actualy pull it off!
Justin Timberlake features on the album too, in a track called 'Signs'. Its a brilliant track of course. Every second person on the planet either ...

Advantages: Great Rapper, Fresh Production Disadvantages: Wheres Dr.Dre and Pharrell stop jumping on the tracks we know the Neptunes Produced it
Its obvious that everyone out there may think snoop has sold out to be more fresh with production from the neptunes to cash in on some money, and to those remember the Snoop D o Double G going F**k the police like what NWA said. where did this soft snoop come from did he realise what was important to him after these years when tupac said F**k these hoes there nothing that women at home is your wife the mother to your kids, did he finally realise ... ...going. should he really stay gansta just to please us, the answer is no. stay true to roots just dont completely flip the coin to be a lyrical advertiser.
but one thing i hate about this album is pharrell jumping on the tracks as well as appearing in the videos, it just like Puff Daddy with biggie up in his videos. i mean aint it enough to be proud you produced for snoop dogg have you got to proove it to the world by appearing on the song and in ...

it is a good overall album, but not great. dependable snoop dog has made another smooth and easy to listen to soulfull album, but if you are looking for the album full of raw hiphop flava that snoop use to put out then unfortuneately you wont find it on this album bar a few songs. The album is sure to please any hip hop fan, its worth having in the collection.

R&G Snoop Dog Album Review ofR&G (Rhythm & Gangsta/Parental Advisory) [PA] - Snoop Doggby
amylt22
Advantages: Its one of his best Disadvantages: you have to be in the right mood to enjoy this album
This is one of his best albums.
This album really shows why we all really love snoop dog, he is still one of the best hip-hop gangsters around and keeps on proving it with this album.
This is an album you can listen to for all kind of moods as regards hip-hop, in your car, in the house on your ipod like I do at work. He raps very fluently and good.
If you haven't listened to any of his music before, then this is the fist album I would introduce ... ...pass stuff but its hip-hop you have to expect some.
I would sit down somewhere quiet and really listen to this album before you judge.
Enjoy this album.
The songs that stand out for me are
Step Yo Game Up, feating lil-jon.
Pass it pass it
Bang Out
Oh no feating 50 cent ...
